This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Walter spotted this CJ-2A. How about that unique rack on the front? Given that bumper, this was some kind of purpose-modified jeep. The body doesn’t appear too bad either. Maybe that rack was on a car truck?

“Very nice 64 3B Almost all stock. Original 4 cy engine, rebuilt about 5,000 mi ago. New Besttop, Mile Marker 8000 lb electric winch, Warn overdrive. Still has original warrenty sticker on dash. 2 speed electric wiper on driver side. Chrome rims and front bumper. Roll bar. No rust. Transmission rebuilt same time as engine. This is a no reserve auction. It’s not perfect, but appears solid.
“We bought this Willys from the US Forrestry Department and painted it Army green. It runs great and is as solid a Jeep as you will find. When it was painted, there was absolutely NO rust repair. We’ve used it in a couple of parades and has sat in the barn now for five years. My wife says I’ve got to clean out the barn and and get rid of items I don’t use. It was fun to own but needs to go to someone who will appreciate it better.
I’m offering this for sale on ebay only and will not sell it outside the auction. We have a shipping company and can arrange shipping in an enclosed trailer for a fee. E-mail me your zip code for a shipping estimate. The spare tire is the original tire and I bought a new spare tire mount but never installed it. I’ll put a new battery in the Jeep when it sells. “1953 Willys Jeep does not run but will with a new battery gas fuel lines and carb cleaning it’s rough but not terrible the frame is in good shape aside from rust rolls easy shifts through all gears and has high low plus 4 wheel drive I also have the registration for it as well as the keys it comes with spare tire and tire rack back seat and grill the plow and plow accessories don’t come with it do don’t ask call 845 594 5332”

This looks like a nice CJ-3A.
“1951 Willys Jeep CJ3A. This Jeep is an absolute blast to drive.
It underwent a comprehensive restoration several years ago and is in excellent condition.
There have been under 800 miles logged since its restoration.
This is a CJ3A, civilian model, with an original Flat head 4 cylinder, Willys/Jeep engine, 3 speed manual transmission and manual, dual range, 4 wheel drive.
It was restored to original, unmodified condition, with as many original parts as possible.
I have been in the classic car business for 30 years and have never seen one of these done this nicely.
This vehicle runs so well I would bet it could be driven anywhere, as long as you do not need to go over 50 or so mph.”

(02/29/2012) “This outstanding, unique example of early production civilian jeep is the first series of jeep built after WWII. It has been restored as original, painted the listed Normandy Blue. The body was removed, repaired, and repainted underneath. The frame was painted black, as original. The motor, transmission, and transfer case were rebuilt. It has new red seat covers and red wheels with the Normandy blue stripe. It also has a new 6 volt battery, new set of springs, and 5 new 700 x15 military tires. The original Willys heater works. All gauges and lights work. This jeep starts and drives excellent. It is a VERY NICE UNIT! ”
