The engine, transmission and 4×4 are in great condition. There are no noticeable rust issues. The paint and interior are in good condition.

“This is an all original Willys that was meticulously restored over the course of 2 years by myself. It was a frame off restoration down to every last nut and bolt. There is no bondo or fiberglass or rust on this baby. Everything works perfectly as it was originally designed to work and operate. The engine was completely rebuilt, the transfer case, the clutch all rebuilt. The electrical harness was replaced with a new exact duplicate. The exhaust is an exact duplicate of the original custom made in stainless steel.

The original carburetor was rebuilt and it starts on the coldest of winter days with the original 6 volt electrical system. The battery sits in its proper location in a case that looks like a vintage battery but actually contains a modern jell cell battery; one of the only minor alterations to the original. The battery has a turn disconnect on the cable so that when not in use I leave it hooked up to a 6 volt drip charge. Gas tank new, brakes rebuilt, E-brake works, knuckles rebuilt; front and rear bumpers attached with proper original rivets. I did not replace the original windshield but chose to re-install it after the paint.

“1962 Jeep CJ5 Universal, 4 cyl, 3 speed manual 4wd. Equipped with Rancho shocks and an old but excellent working Ramsey winch. 16 inch wheels & tires are in awesome condition. Clutch and fuel tank have also been replaced. There is some paint bubbling starting to show on the front fenders. Jeep runs and drives great, very fun and certainly a head turner. “I purchased this Jeep from the nephew of the original owner. He did a complete refurbishment of the body, frame, and interior. The engine was rebuilt about 7000 miles ago. All brakes and lines were replaced. New Best Top installed. Since I’ve owned it I’ve done the following;
New Tires
New Fuel Pump
Installed Electronic Ignition (I have the points and condenser)
New Starter
New Head Gasket
New Exhaust Manifold
Rebuilt Carbeurator
New Plugs, Cap, Rotor
New Plug Wires

It is always stored in the winter. I just pulled it out of the barn last week and it started right up. Runs great and goes down the road at 45 no problem. It has the original owner’s manual in the glove box, too. Please email with any questions. Asking $9900 obo.”
