Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is one of last 2 of 9 military vehicles sold from my collection, It is is a M38A1 and is in fair to good condition. I describe this jeep as being partially restored. While it does have some minor rust, it would not take much effort to restore it. The body is complete and seems to be in decent shape. Add a new paint job and you will have a nice looking jeep. The jeep runs and drives very well. It starts right up and the brakes seem to also work well. The tires are dry rot and need to be replaced. It comes with a nicely done Plastic Replica 30 caliber machine gun with 4+ ‘ stand and 30 caliber cartridge box (needs to be installed on Jeep) plus what appears to be a Vietnam era flak jacket. Interested parties are encouraged to personally inspect and drive the vehicle. It does not have a title and I doubt it has ever been titled.”
