This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1959 Willys CJ5 Civilian Jeep 3 spd 4WD in excellent condition, with 19,496 orig miles. I have owned this jeep since 1980. In 1982, I restored and painted the body and installed a new clutch, pressure plate, and a throw out bearing. Given the low mileage, all the mechanicals were in excellent condition and still are. A few years ago the exhaust manifold was replaced. For the past 30 years the jeep has been on my farm and just used there occasionally. I purchased the vehicle with a 60 inch snow plow, although was not used to plow snow. It has military tires, as seen in the pictures, as well as a spare (not in the picture.) Three extra new military tires and the snow plow will be included. This jeep has been carefully maintained and stored in a clean, climate controlled shop.’
The driver’s fender is banged up, but I can’t tell much else. It needs a starter at the very least.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
It doesn’t run at the moment, but looks solid.
“This is a 95% complete and original Willys CJ-2A. It is a perfect unmolested candidate for restoration to drive in a parade or to the beach this summer. It has always been stored indoors. The original L-134 Go Devil engine turns over freely with its own starter. I do not have time for this project and so I am choosing to sell it. I am including a spare Borg Warner T90 transmisison and Dana Spicer Model 18 transfer case for parts. Consider trade for wide front end farm tractor.”

This might be a good deal. It looks stock and in good shape.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,000. One side note: In July 2010 this was listed as having 38,000 miles and is now listed as having 34,744.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500
Bob is selling his truck. It has NO rust and has a recently rebuilt engine. It would likely make a great restoration candidate.
“Pickup has been in barn the last 6 years, has been run periodically, no rust. Bought for retirement project, now have no time for it. It has: Rebuilt 4 cylinder engine (original was a six),3 speed with high/low 4 WD, manual overdrive, clear title.”

There might be some value here. The seller wants to get rid of this.
“Hi , I’ve got a 1952 Jeep Willys that has been sitting in my garage for quite a while now. It’s not in great shape , but for the most part still pretty solid. Has some rust , has a hole in front drivers floor board. It’s a 6 volt system , but if I remember correctly , my father in law told me it was converted to 12 volt. All the glass is original , as well as the body and interior parts.It’s interior has been mostly gutted. The motor is original to my knowledge and was overhauled not long before it was put in storage. It’s full time 4 wheel drive , but the front axle was taken out by my father in law , I believe to help with fuel mieage , when he was driving it. I have been wanting to fix it up , but with bills and kids , it’s not going to happen for a while longer. ”
