About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Here’s a VEC #11500 for sale over at the CJ2A Page (Thanks Bill).
This Jeep has no title. The transmission was switched to a later floor shift version. The transfer case may, or may not be original, the early style 4-rib park brake drum is present.
The engine is not the original chain engine, but it is a low serial number CJ-2A 33843, it looks like an early 1946 engine in it.
This looks like a great price and a fun restoration. It would be useful to see just how this was stretched. This could be a rare CJ-2L. This it the 5th one I have heard about or seen in the Pacific Northwest. You can see other stretched jeeps here. This looks like a good price. This almost looks like an old lefty, too.
“It’s all there but will need complete resto. Was stretched by a previous owner.Wheel studs are broken on front axle,so will not hold wheels. No title.”
(01/29/2011) Starting bid is $12k. It looks well maintained, but dusty.
“Up for auction is an original WILLYS 1946 CJ2A BOYER FIRE JEEP.
It is extremely hard to find an original Boyer jeep with that many accessories still on the vehicle. To find out more about Boyer jeeps please go to http://cj3b.info/Fire/fireindex.html.
The jeep is in orginal condition. It appears it has been painted once. The engine runs nice and smooth, all driveline works. Engine has original governor. The mileage on the vehicle shows 2304 miles however the speedometer appears to be broken. Jeep has some rust issues: front floor especially under the tool box (rusted through), on back corner behind reflectors (both corners rusted through), otherwise the outside body, fenders, etc. are in excellent condition especially the windshield frame (have never seen one in that great shape for a 1946 vehicle!).
The jeep comes with all the accessories you see in the pictures. Unfortunately it didn’t come with the pump. It appears that the pump was removed many years ago. The jeep was stored inside for many years, we changed the fueltank and the exhaust system as we didn’t want to take a chance with the old one with old fuel in it. The old fuel tank is emptied and is included in the auction. It appears there were no leaks from the old fueltank. Most likely it will need to be boiled out.
The brakes need to be looked after as the brake pedal goes straight down to the floor however it moves freely.
We have a professional restoration facility for Willys Jeeps and in our opinion this would be a simple restoration because everything is there to do nice job. Fuellines, brakelines, wiring harness all original.
This vehicle comes without any warranties or guaranties. We have over 15 years of experience in shipping vehicles worldwide and will assist buyer with shipping/loading and paperwork.
Shipping, taxes and/or other fees (import, customs, etc.) are not included in the auction and are the buyers responsibility.”

“The Willys has a Ford 302, Auto, Dana 20, stock diffs (25 front and rear posi) runs great, but it’s never been off road. I have a good windshield, but for extra $$. It needs body work on two spots; next to drivers door and passenger side battery well (rust), metal flat bed with storage boxes. I also have a 9′ bed that goes with sale”
(11/20/2010) “This 53 Willy’s has been in the family for over 30 years with original 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission and overdrive. Only needs the master brake cylinder and air cleaner.”
This is interesting. The seller says this is an unrestored M-38 in great condition. If accurate, this might be an unusual find if you want a M-38.
“Up for sale is a 1952 Willys M38 Army jeep. Looks and runs good. Tires are new. No rust however certain parts are pitted. Willys flathead 4cyl engine original to the jeep, T90 trans, 4wd. This is a rare untouched, unrestored find. It came straight from the fire dept and runs very good. Shifts fine, Steers tight, stops as it should and does not leak any oil. It has been converted to 12 volt by the fire dept and has never been modified or in civilian hands untill recently. I have the original gov. release form. This jeep also has the original spring seat cushions.
the last photo is a picture of my yard, if you buy and pay you will recieve. Local pickup only however I can help with shipping to 48 states and overseas.”
