About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(12/04/09) This looks in great shape for the price.
“Neat little Jeep…fun to drive…V-6 – 3 spd – 4×4 works good – Clutch, transmission & brakes good. It hasn’t been abused or rusted out & I haven’t found any bondo repairs.
I have another project and need room in my garage. My loss – your gain. This is probably the best buy for the money in Oklahoma City. I might consider a pick-up as a trade, but nothing needing paint or repairs. I don’t need another project. Tom … 405-722-0818 or Cell: 405-606-9515.”
This is one of several for sale on eBay by this owner.
“1951 Willys Wagon- Red Woody style on S-10 Chassis, 700R transmission, Power steering and power brakes, tilt wheel, New tires, new paint- perfect body, Came from Arizona, All new glass and rubber seals, Electric wipers and electric windows,”
This is one of several wagons on eBay from this seller.
“1952 Willys Wagon- Maroon 4 cylinder, 3 speed transmission O/D, new tires and wheels, 12 volt system, gauges, seats very nice, needs new headliner, new brakes, new paint job, rust free body, all glass is there- some getting foggy around edges. ”
This is one of several this seller has for sale on eBay. This is probably in the poorest condition.
“1953 Willys Wagon- waiting to be finished! Gray primer body, 350 V8 engine, automatic transmission, power brakes, needs to be restored, nice body, needs tailgate repair, driver’s side rocker panel needs to be replaced. Front flood pan repaired. Runs good.”
“1951 Willys Sedan Delivery Parkway- Blue Woody Style, Buick V6 engine, automatic transmission, power brakes, new glass, new tires and hubcaps, new paint job, electric wipers, new inside, new grill bars and bumper guards, runs nice. ”
That’s one dirty windshield! The jeep looks rust free on the outside. This might be a good deal if the jeep will start.

A second 1962 Willys CJ5 is also incuded, it is in pieces and was being used for parts, all parts are still with jeep. Great for someone looking for a restoration project.”

The seller provides a very nice overview of the jeep.
“This is an extremely rare 1942 Slat Grill Jeep. Depending on where you look, different sources indicate that between 25 and 300 of these Jeeps are known to exist today.
The number plate on this Jeep shows that it is number 113424 (the 1’s are punched as I’s-see photo). This is the numbering for the Jeep, and does not indicate that 113,424 of these were made. Rather, the first 25,000 Jeeps ever made were Slat Grills, and the vast majority have been destroyed. I have had this Jeep for several years, and it has a clear California title. There are no registration issues since it has been registered non-operational so that no back fees accumulated while I stored it.
From what I can know and can tell:
I bought the jeep with an F-head motor and replaced it with the correct L-Head motor, but the motor is an aftermarket Kaiser Motor rather than a Willys. The motor which is in it is a Kaiser Supersonic, and since its rebuild 12 years ago, has been run for only a few hours. Unfortunately, I no longer have the rebuild receipt but it was rebuilt professionally…..”
“Ok folks I have a beautiful 1948 willy in fantastic condition. Everything is rebuilt or repaired. Original flat head four tornado engine with 1000 miles after rebuild all rebuilt transmision, transfer case, beafed up drive trane, rearend, and everything else. This jeep drives like a mini tank it can literaly drive inself up a tree if your into such things. Geared low for offroading drives 45mph top speed. I bought the last white best top in the world for a willy it is only 6 months old. Bottom of jeep is sealed and there is no rust. This is a show quality ride. Blue books at $13,000 with a total of $12,000 in it. I have afew extra parts and old gas cans ext…I will take fair offers for cash and will consider trades but please no junk. We really need something safe that can fit 4 plus camping gear but good mpg. NO scammers please I will only deal in person.”
“jeep has had f-head motor from cj3b installed sometime in past, starts and runs, rest of running gear appears original, has metal hardtop which looks to be of same age as jeep with rollup windows, the frame is solid as is top, body is rusty .this is a project that is not road ready, glass is gone brakes don’t work, transmission and transfercase do work,i have a title, would be a good start to add a new body but i have to many projects,i took it on trade and don’t need another project(the doors are laying inside)”
Priced for a quick sale, though no price mentioned. This might be a good deal.
