About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The price is a bit high for a non runner; however, this this appears to be a good restoration candidate.
“1952 Jeep wagon, 98% rust free Georgia vehicle, still has GA title. All original in good condition except the addition of 2bbl Chevy 283 V8. Engine turns over but wont start. Call Bill @ 770-500-2126 Other”
Brett spotted this ad. There is one parts jeep and two running jeeps, though each of the running jeeps has issues.
“I have 3 cj5 jeeps for sale. A 60,62,63 F-head 4cyl style. I bought them for a project but due to my disabilities Its hard to work on them anymore. The 1960 Is all original and runs but has a rod knock.I shut it down right away when it happened to save further damage. It has the hard top with the doors. Original front Seats(full bench) have been recovered. I have title for it.
I bought a 1962(Dont have title so thats the best date I can give of 62 jeep) with the 4 cyl. F-head that is supposed to be good. It’s a parts jeep.
I also bought a 1963,(with title) that has been modified with a 6 cyl. the firewall had to be cut to fit the engine. It runs well but has some leaks. It has a hard top with no doors. All original except the engine, and seats have been replaced with high back bucket seats. The rear seat in it was taken out of a subaru brat. Has roll bar. New gas tank. will be a good runner with a little work. I also have 1 spare 4 cyl F-head engine in the garage that is froze up, but complete for parts. just sat in the elements too long or so I was told from the seller.”
I wonder if the seller has verification that this was a Hotel DJ.
“It is a 1962 Jeep Willys DJ-3A one of about 2500 made that year. It was originaly a little Island touring truck that the hotels would use to take guest around. Its in good running order, looks ok. It does need a paint job and a little body work. Price is negotiable. I am leaving the Island soon so it needs to sell. attached is a pic of what it could be. right now it is flat black.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000. Might have a Porter & Reed hardtop.
(09/29/2010) I can’t tell much about it from the pics. It appears pretty stock.
“The jeep is in fairly good condition i cleaned it up a lot with the power washer. Needs a battery and tune up and should start rite up, it was running last time it was parked but was sitting in a shed for a couple years. It still uses a 6v battery. I was in the process of restoration but i just dont have the time and money to do it. Is a great restoration vehicle for someone thats not in tobad of shape. It still has the winch on the vehicle and i have the door pieces and other bars that came with it. I also have the original title for the jeep.”
Mice have chewed the tires, engine has/had a knock.
“1946 willys jeep. Have had it for probly 20 years, used it to plow my driveway untill about 5 years ago when i got a new plow truck. Ran when i parked it but had a little knock. Mice have since chewed a few wires i think. Sold the plow off it. Good winter project. Has a PTO on back. MAKE AN OFFER. Trades?”
“Selling my Willys!!! Don’t really want to, but it looks like I might be going to Afghanistan and would rather someone use it than have it sit in storage.
’46 VEC CJ2A #17477. Jeep runs and drives great but should still be considered a project. Needs a lot of little things but I drove it all summer without any issues. I stripped all of the bondo off of this Jeep that previous owners put on it so you can see what needs to be done. I have nothing to hide with this CJ and I hope someone gets as much fun out of it as I did. This thing’s been all over the San Juans and Moab and has been a great travel companion. This would be an excellent starting point for someone new to the old Jeeps as I located most of the hard-to-find parts and got the mechanical gremlins out already (knock on wood). If you buy it, I would also be willing to spend a day going through it with you and showing you everything that it needs.
Will consider partial trades for cool overland gear (ARB awning, engel fridge, RTT, GOOD lights, winches, etc). I have the title in hand and would be more than happy to put it in indoor storage for you until you can pick it up (storage is about $100/mo around here)….. Please no low-ball offers … give me a call at 9-0-7-3-4-7-2-3-6-6”
