“This is a Strong Running 1948 Willys Jeep in Good solid shape with a strong front winch and plow. Great to just hope in and go or as a project to fix up nicely with out to much money or hassle.This Vehicle is a collectors item as there are few left in this kind of structural shape, this Jeep is so Old that it does not even meet the requirements to drive on the major freeways anymore as the top speed is only around 50-55 miles and hour. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.

It appears very stock, but that CJ-2A body is pretty rusted on the sides.

“This jeep is as original and complete as I have seen. Rare items still on this jeep are the canvas top and bows, keyed coil, Naco taillight, and oil bath air cleaner to name a few. Serial number on title matches the firewall plate. ACM number on toeboard and tailgate match. The body tub needs some metal repair, and entire drivetrain will need to be evaluated. The motor turns by hand, but I have not tried to start it. If you are looking for a mudding jeep, keep looking-this one is not for you. Serious inquirers respond with email address and I will contact you regarding a personal inspection. ”

A reader spotted this unusual deal.  That MB looks solid and appears stock.  The seller incorrectly lists the MB as a M-38.  This seller is also selling a Jeepster.

The second is also from the early 1960’s and set up for a service station, and has a hydraulic plow hook-up. The third Jeep is also from the early 1960’s and has a hydraulic plow hook-up. The last Jeep is a 1950 or 1951 M-38 Military Jeep. All four Jeeps are complete and they all have some rot and rust. All four Jeeps are ready for restoration. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.

This CJ-2A was listed on eBay for $1200 (also listed on craigslist for the same amount).  No bids were made.  Bidding ended on April 13, 2010.  However, it looks like a decent price to me. It is a complete jeep with a PTO winch, a top, and a cj-3a windshield with good glass.

“1947 Willy’s CJ-2A with Hardtop and doors. It has a F-Head motor with a 3 speed manual transmission and a CJ-3A windshield. I bought this for $1500 almost 5 years ago. It started right up and drove until I brought it home which is right around 9,000′. I could not get it started and since it has just been sitting in the driveway. I had the starter rebuilt at the cost of $189.81 with a receipt to show. At the moment the battery is dead and the carb. needs rebuilt or replaced. My plan was to upgrade the ignition and put on a new carb. This is a good old flatfender  that just needs a little time and money. There is a swing away tire carrier with 2 jerry can holders.”
