About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Posted at bangshift (though I couldn’t find this original link), referenced by Jalopnik, linked to by Kaiser Willys, and forwarded by Colin, here is a great video of a coast guard “super jeep” in action.
TRAVELS 60 MPH OVER SANDY BEACHES
At a Coastguard Station on the Atlantic Coast, U.S. Coast Guards men recently demonstrated a new super-jeep, carrying 10 men and traveling up to 60 miles an hour over sand. Officials said the super-jeep was developed to meet special problems of Coast Guard shore patrols. Chassis of a regulation jeep was halved and steel shafts inserted to add one yard to its wheelbace. Seats for 10 were installed and specially designed wheels employed to permit travel over any kind of beach.
As a basis for comparison, the regular Army jeep tried to follow the super-jeep over the same course, but foundered in the deep sand. The super-jeep was developed in the Coast Guard transportation office to meet the special demand that branch of services has for a vehicle capable of moving through sand . . .

The seller notes this is one of a kind, despite not knowing what type of toy this is. This looks like a cross between a troop MB/GPW carrier and a CJ-3B. Anyone recognize it?

(07/11/2012) This is a CJ-2A body on some later model chassis (maybe CJ-5). The hood was lengthened, among other changes. The front fenders are unusual. This doesn’t run at the moment.
“I am selling a 1947 Jeep Willys. The Jeep was a gift for my graduation, but I just don’t have the time to put into restoring it. This Jeep is the civilian version of the exact vehicle used in WWII. The 1947 is harder to find than most CJ model Jeeps. The engine is a Chevy 305 V8 with an edelbrock carb. The transmission has been switched to automatic. There is surface rust on parts of the vehicle, but could be sanded out with a little work. The vehicle currently needs a battery and rear axle in order to run. I am including a recently purchased rear and front axle in this sale for no extra charge. The gauges and rear tail lights need re-wiring, but front lights and signals work just fine. This Jeep is a lot of fun on the beach and would be a great project for any classis car enthusiast. If you have any questions or would like to see the vehicle, please contact me by phone or email.
I’m looking for a fishing boat. I prefer center console, but would consider other options. The boat needs to be in good shape and include a trailer and motor. Email, call, or text if interested in trading. I do prefer pictures if available.
(06/17/2012) I’d like some better pics of this one. Pretty neat.

I can only hope that this formerly rare four door wagon was rusted beyond being savable, so was chopped down to a four door wagon. One can always hope, right? Never-the-less, the result is surely odd.

“I have a complete brand new fiberglass willys jeep body. I had extra re-inforcement in key areas by a fiblerglass shop, and also had them stretch it to allow room for rear seats (I have kids) Anyways the project got scrapped for another. I have 3k into this body. It has been notched to allow a small block chevy to fit in the engine bay. Also had reinforcement but more for the looks the inside is fitted with aluminum diamond plate and the outter body has tread plate accents.”
