About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Early production CJ2A with the die marks on the driver’s side. Has iron duke Chevy 4cyl. engine but otherwise highly original. Runs. Drives. Stops. Has rust but restore-able, or have fun using as-is! Clean title in my name. Cash-only sale.”
“Fully restored numbers matching 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep painted in the factory yellow color. Original drive train. This Jeep runs and drives and stops fine. Everything operates as it should. Also has Rebuilt engine. Im exploring a trade for an equal value RUNNING AND DRIVING RESTORED Model A Ford in Trade. I will NOT chop up your Model A for a hotrod or ratrod. It will be driven and enjoyed like I did with the Willys Jeep. Please, dont contact me if you’re not serious or with a fixer upper.”
This is an early CJ2A Willys Jeep with a column shift. Jeep was originally green with yellow wheels. Tub and frame have original matching vin tags. Trans and transfer case are original. I have another original column that goes with including new shift rods. Engine is free but has small crack in water jacket. I am including another early cj block that is in good shape. I wanted to restore this one as column shift jeeps were only made for a few months. Plans have changed so it is up for sale.”
(11/10/2019) There might be enough room under that hood bump to fit a jet engine! Jeep appears in good shape.
“Complete restoration a few yrs ago. 119 miles on new willys engine. Have full vinyl enclosure w/doors. Will consider partial trade – have clear title. Located in A.Junction.”
“Early production Willys, with the die marks on the driver’s side of the body. Runs. Drives. Stops. Has Chevy iron Duke engine, original transmission. 4WD works great. Comes with top and doors, body has some rust but tub is still solid as a whole”
“I have for sale 1 complete 1946-48 Willys Jeep and 1 parts Jeep, I also have some extra engine parts that i will throw in the deal. The complete Jeep runs and the engine was a brand new military crate motor that my father installed many years ago, the Jeep has been parked ever sense and only has a few miles on the new motor, $ 5,500 If you have any questions please PM, thanks.”
“I have a collection of 1946 VEC CJ2A Jeep parts for restoration or just parts. I was going to restore this but I have an aircraft restoration project that is more demanding of my time.
Parts include: Rolling chassis, (full floating rear axle), with tub, 5 mounted like new 600×16 military NDT tires, engine, transmission/transfer case, radiator, rear driveshaft, drivers seat frame, non-VEC windshield frame, tailgate, hood, front fenders and grill.
Couldn’t find an engine id number in the usual two places/pads but the cylinder head is the early smooth top design. The engine turns over with a wrench and the crank pulley nut looks correct for a VEC. Continue reading →
(08/23/2019) Listed as a 1944, this has a variety of CJ-2A parts on it. The body appears to be a VEC body. Needs a closer look to sort things out.
“Titled 1944, but have been told body is 45 or 46, engine is 46. Runs and drives, not bad for overall shape. Have all new seats with cushions, new tires, starts right up. Trades possible.”
