About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1946 Willyʼs Jeep. Runs strong. Very few miles on newly rebuilt engine. Restored by previous owner. I just donʼt have time to enjoy it. $5500 OBO. Clean title.”
“Early production, according to some JEEP experts, this has early engine block, both good rears, locking hubs, god gauges , has oval pad behind oil filter, and 3 speed standard trans on column, we almost had engine running, we lost spark when rotor fell apart, decent frame, poor tub, and no title, and I cant find any tags on the body or frame, there is a number on the engine. and it was a funky green under the crappy brown that it is now.
No paperwork, repeat no paperwork, I am willing to lick my wounds after a dip in lake stupid for buying this thing at 1500, 1100 is the price.
This Jeep is in Bangor Pennsylvania, yes Bangor Pennsylvania, and its an hour from where I live, so not running around and meeting at 9 pm for a looky loo, if you are interested, I am more than happy to answer questions, and meet to sell it to you, if you can find one for 200 please buy it, or even 300 go for it.
If you don’t like the price you can buy it for 100 at my estate sale when im dead, cause buying crap like this is gonna kill me. No longer collecting cars or projects, not interested in trades of any kind, or crypto currency, or motorcycles, or dune buggys, or tools.”
“This is an early series Willy’s. Three on the tree shifting with the 134 cu. in. Go Devil engine. All wiring is new. New Master Brake Cyl.; all new Brake slave cyl.; New brake lines; New water pump; points, plugs and condensor all new; new gas tank and fuel lines; new fuel pump; carb. rebuilt. PTO for the front winch.
I have the shop manual. As you can see, the little girl drives.”
“1948 Willys Jeep. Has a Jeep V6. Not the buick V6 but the Jeep V6 (slightly different in better ways). No tranny or trans case. Has Clean AZ title in my name”
“I want to sell my 1946 Jeep Willys. Have done everything to her except paint! Too manyh items done to it to list but I just now started it after over a year of sitting and she fired right up. The Can has been replaced, in black primer and many other things. I used it for many years at my land but I sold it this spring and it is just sitting now and I have no where to use it. I knew the prior owner and he owned it almost before I was born and I’m in my 60’s.”
This seems to be a mix of a GPW chassis and a VEC CJ-2A body.
“Bought this for my dad who doesn’t have time to restore. It does run. I bought new tires, new seats, has a hard top with it. It’s running pretty good.”
“CJ2 body tub with Ax and Shovel indents like the WWII Willys MB or Ford GPW; AND it has the tailgate in the back like the CJ2A’s. It is in restore-able condition. All the body fabrications/sub-assemblies are readily available on line. Not the greatest shape; but rare enough that it is worth restoring over the standard CJ2A body. Will fit in a full size pickup.
This tub could always be fitted with the gadgets to carry the Ax and Shovel – all the gadgets, straps, and even ax and shovel are available on line. It probably wouldn’t be stock to do this but it would be cool!
Asking $550. Would consider trading for other early flat fender parts. ”
“Up for sale I have a Willys CJ2A Jeep made in 1946.
It starts, runs, and drives.
New battery and spark plugs.
Has a clean, green title in my name.
Tires hold air.
The Jeep is definately a 1946, according to VIN number, the column shifter on the steering wheel, and having 3 of the agricultural rims.
Frame could use repair at rear left corner and body has rust, could use repair.”
