About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

It looks nice. It must have been switched to a floor shift at some point.
“1945 Cj2a Willys Jeep. 90 percent restored. Serial #11325. Body #1824. New tires, paint, seat covers. Transmission, transfer, and 4×4 all work perfectly. This is an exceptionally clean Willys Jeep and has won many awards at car shows. It is 1 of only 1825 built during the last 6 months of 1945. It has original color scheme of Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. It is extremely fun to drive and is driven daily. For the right price, you should enjoy this Jeep as much as we have. If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to call me.”
This appears to have a VEC body. The grill appears to be from a later CJ-2A.
“1946 willys cj2a. restored by previous owner motor cranks with spark but refuses to start. I have too many projects and not enough time or energy to finish. new brake lines and wiring.I’m sure the milage is off but thats what the odometer says”

This is pretty much a complete jeep, including seats, fenders, grill, windshield, as well as some extra parts (tire chains, etc). The price includes over $600 worth of new parts I had planned to use (new brake master cylinder, new gas tank, new wiper motor, new front bumper, and several other parts). “This is a 1946 (Flat Fender) Civilian Jeep CJ 2-A the last civilian model manufactured and sold in the United States. These are hard to find and “Junk” types are being listed for sale at $3000.00 and up. Mine is in good driveable condition and can be seen at my home in Escondido.Cell phone # 760-445-2017.”
(06/28/2012) The serial number on this is #13346. The column shift is gone, but the full floaters appear to be there (and is one of the last few made before they eliminated that feature), along with the tool indents.
I purchased this 46 from my engine builder who had this in his barn for 10 years. This was one of @ 10 jeeps used on his property as a hunting vehicle. When I bought it it had the newer model engine in it with a cut in the hood to allow the air cleaner to protrude out the top. He had an original flathead completely rebuilt on a crate wrapped in plastic that came with the deal. You have to know this guy, his machine shop is insane and his quality of work is tops. As I said, they have a bunch of these willys on this property over the years and this was his last one. His intent was to fix it up and out this rebuilt flathead in it. The newer model engine originally in the car when I purchased it apparently ran but was way down on power according to my guy when he drove the Willys into the barn. So I never messed with this engine. Out it came and in went the rebuilt flathead engine. I purchased over $1500 in parts from Ron Fitzpatricks jeep parts. New Carb, new brake master, new engine mounts, new steering piviots and all the parts from the box to the wheels (less the actual rods). New Hood. Had the fuel tank and radiator cleaned but I’m not happy with either of those jobs. Had the starter and generator completely gone through. Brand new 8 volt battery. New Distributor, all new air box and complete system to the carb. New Fuel Pump, New water pump and clutch plate and throw out bearing. New gas peddle and all new linkage to the carb from the peddle as well. New choke cable and new ground wires. Actual Mileage…… HA who knows. . . . ”
UPDATE: The Craiglist Ad expired. The jeep is probably still available.
This has a VEC body, but appears to have or been converted to a floor shifter.
“1946 Jeep Willy. Has been sitting in yard. Used to run, but doesn’t now. Needs work. Always planned on fixing it up, but never got around to it. Great project or just use the parts.”
“I thought I would throw my Willys on here to see if there was any interest. It is a 46, has a ford 302, ford 9″ rear end with a spool, dana 44 front end, dana 300 twin stick transfer case, and runs and drives pretty well. It does need some work. It could use new leaf springs (which I have) the lights wired, a little body work, and gauges hooked up. I was using it as a big ATV, but lost access to the land I was driving it on. I don’t have a title for it, but I can get one for it if that is a deal breaker. I don’t NEED to sell it, but I want to see what I might be able to get for it since I don’t use it any more. Don’t be afraid to make me an offer. It’s a fun little toy or a drivable project that would be pretty bad ass when it’s finished.
(01/15/2010) There are a few minor things that aren’t original, but they aren’t any big deal.
“THIS JEEP IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. The Jeep is as original as can be. COLOR IS PASTURE GREEN WITH YELLOW WHEELS. L-HEAD 4 cyl MOTOR “GO DEVEL” 6 volt ELECT. in # 15775 column shift.”
