This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: This was priced at $1200 on Craigslist last month and posted at eWillys. The seller decided to put this on ebay and the ebay bid price is now $2900. The lesson? More people should read eWillys!

“1946 jeep CJ2A with column shifter. I have replaced this with original stick shift . Was running when I bought it, but engine is stored inside where it was cleaned and painted. Replacement panels on floor. Everything is there. New wiring harness. No time for restoration. asking $1000.00 or B.O.”
That appears to be a VEC body.
“For sale a 1948 Willys Jeep. V6 buick engine, Automatic Transmission. 33X12.5 BFG All Terrain tires in good shape. Four wheel drive works good, Hi/Low transfer case. Heavy duty bumpers front and rear, with rear receiver hitch. Front disc brakes only, rear brakes do not exist, carbureator needs a kit. Fun vehicle to drive. Call 402-two 6 nine-five 6 zero 1. “1946 CJ2A, runs great. This jeep is a column shifter and has a back seat. The jeep is all stock and has been rebuilt once in the last 15 years. The electrical has been converted to 12v along with the starter and headlights. The Jeep was never abused and has been in my family for several decades. I don’t drive it much anymore and would like to see someone use it for hunting or play.”

(08/10/2011) There are some things to like, but the passenger side of the body looks a bit patched.

Model: Willys CJ2A
Mileage, not sure, speedometer has 68,633 but needs new speedometer cable.
I have owned it 6 years and only drove it on our farm while being restored, probably 500 miles in last 5 years
Roll Bar and Rear Spare Tire mount with Jack mounting bracket
Drivers seat needs repair
Original engine I believe, straight 4 cylinder, runs very good 45-50 mph down the road
Converted to 12 volt throughout
New Tires
Some light rust spots on wheels, mainly the spare.
New Shocks
Very Clean, garage kept for last 6 years.
Canvas top on Roll Bar Cage
Rear compartment reworked with diamond pattern steel.
Warn XD 9000i wench, works great.
Restored, paint and overall upgrade in 2005
Runs great, new battery, I have to charge if not started in 30 days.
Newly installed Horn, and turn signals, will be inspected in Texas this week.
This is a very clean collector jeep, I am selling to get new pick up, hate to see her go..”

“Up for grabs is my 1946 Willys CJ2A. Serial Number 15777. This is one of the few three on the tree Column Shift models that was made. All of the major components are original and the serial number on the frame and tub match. The only modifications that have been made are the aftermarket oil filter, fuel pump, 12V alternator, and the front brake drums were changed to Ford 9″ using a conversion kit. This Willys runs and drives. I just installed a new fuel tank and I recently had the floor boards replaced. There are a few things that need to be addressed. The rear drive shaft is removed right now; the speedometer cable needs to be replaced. One front headlight and bezel need to be replaced. 713-252-7864”

This looks like a good price.
“For sale: 1946 Willys column shift jeep. Runs and stops, just needs finishing. Comes with working rear PTO.
This was going to be a long term project for me, but circumstances have changed and now I am forced to sell. This particular jeep is rare due to the column shift and the fact that is still have the rear mounted PTO.
Most everything works but the emergency brake needs to be adjusted and the dash light needs to be hooked up. I removed the car seats that were in it and have found some original CJ2A seat frames for it. It does have some old turn signals on it but they do not work, nor do they need to to have it inspected..
The green jeep shown in the pics is NOT for sale.
Please, no scammers or tire kickers, I know what this jeep is worth, and know what I am asking for it is fair. A very rare jeep that will make a very good project for someone.
