This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1966 kaiser jeep cj5 for sale or trade.first year for the buick dauntless 225 v-6.runs great.3-speed,4×4.soft and bikkini tops,roll bar.seats are in great shape.fold down front windshield,chrome wheels.headers,dual pipes.2-5 gallon gas cans and spare tire mounted to back.like i said runs great,was driven down from nevada with no problems,nevada title.will need to have speedo and fuel gauge worked on and needs the right front brake looked at.wont take much tlc to have a real nice jeep.you can climb a tree with this jeep.”

3. During a search for the 1960 auto show pics, Gerald found this image from the 1965 auto show. He immediately thought of the show Mad Men. The girls may be as lovely as the ones on the show, but the men are much older (compare the photos below and you decide!

“Ok folks I have a beautiful 1948 willy in fantastic condition. Everything is rebuilt or repaired. Original flat head four tornado engine with 1000 miles after rebuild all rebuilt transmision, transfer case, beafed up drive trane, rearend, and everything else. This jeep drives like a mini tank it can literaly drive inself up a tree if your into such things. Geared low for offroading drives 45mph top speed. I bought the last white best top in the world for a willy it is only 6 months old. Bottom of jeep is sealed and there is no rust. This is a show quality ride. Blue books at $13,000 with a total of $12,000 in it. I have afew extra parts and old gas cans ext…I will take fair offers for cash and will consider trades but please no junk. We really need something safe that can fit 4 plus camping gear but good mpg. NO scammers please I will only deal in person.”

The body and frame are $600. Other parts are more. Apparently, the seller has been getting his Ad flagged.
“I have a 1946 CJ2A body that sits on a a ’76 CJ5 frame, and is ready to be a serious crawler. It has had a ton of work, and was all done properly. This is not some hack job welded together with a tiny little 110v welder. I would like to get $600 for the body and frame alone, but am taking offers. It is sitting in my back yard and I hate to see it get all rusted and end up going to the scrap yard. I have a ford HP dana 60, and a CO14 that could also go with it, but they of course will be much more. If you are interested in seeing it email me. I know the pix aren’t great, but there better then none. I simply have to many projects and this one has to go”

“1955 Jeep M38A1
Too many projects not enough garage time! 1955 M38A1 Military Jeep. It was a running and driving Jeep a few years ago and I tore it down to restore the frame, motor, body and wiring. The frame was sand blasted and re painted in gloss OD. All the frame bushings, spring bushings and shackles were replaced and new brake lines were installed front and rear. The motor ran good and did not smoke so all I did was strip, paint and re-gasket it. This Jeep has been a military Jeep it’s whole life so there is no extra crap added to it. All the 24 volt stuff is still on it. I do have a new OE (1955) wiring harness for it but it is not installed yet. The body was also blasted and the main tub was put in black sealer primer the rest of the parts are still bare metal. It does need some light body work on the rear of the tub where the gas can and spare tire mounts, it’s not bad just a little wavy. The floor was replaced under the drivers seat because of some rust but other than that the body was rust free. It has brand new NDT military tires all the way around. The original fuel pump was also rebuilt a few months ago. All the small parts like blackout lights, gages, handles, tire mounts not in the pictures is stored in rubbermaid tubs. This Jeep has under 20k original miles. It is an easy winter project with a lot of the hard work already done. $3950 OBO 509-953-1868 located by Northtown Mall area.”

“jeep has had f-head motor from cj3b installed sometime in past,starts and runs,rest of running gear appears original, has metal hardtop which looks to be of same age as jeep with rollup windows, the frame is solid as is top,body is rusty .this is a project that is not road ready,glass is gone brakes don’t work,transmission and transfercase do work,i have a title,would be a good start to add a new body but i have to many projects,i took it on trade and don’t need another project(the doors are laying inside)”
