Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It looks shiny and sharp, but I think the seller would have been better off to paint this a more historic color.

(05/01/2010) “This is a project or parts car but is very unique. The motor does run and the transmission works. I cut out the rear floor pans and have the replacements this also has no interior but i have the top frame to it. I may consider trades for a boat. Thanks.”

(05/23/2010) This M-38A1 looks to be in great shape.
“You can own the best military jeep Willy’s made with the better springs, rear end and improved seals. This jeep is in very good condition and it is very collectable and hard to find! It has the original engine with 24200 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt at 19058 miles. It has a 12-volt system with elec/vacume wipers, army data plates and black-out switches. Just a few updates tonight (sat night)
I’m guessing this is a Fire Department (perhaps makeshift) out of Korea. I found this during an image search, but I could not locate the source. It looks like a Library of Congress type of image. If anyone knows of the source, please let me know so I can properly credit it.
