Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Is the shifter on the dash for a plow?
“For sale a 1946 Jeep Willy’s which has been Partially renovated, Car has been taken to mechanic and parts have been replaced to ensure it runs, however original motor is still intact. Jeep has reported 30000 miles. Outside has been sandblasted and repainted in light blue and white. Inside interior neewds to be redone but is not too bad. , this car is good for a renovation project as most has been mostly restored.the car turns on and runs fine without problems. (05/18/2014) Looks nice. It appears the hood has a little extra support.
“Original restored flat-fender Willys Jeep. Runs great, does not smoke or burn oil. No drips or leaks. Does not pop out of 2nd gear. Rebuilt flathead engine and tranny/transfer case. Re-cored radiator. All new hoses and wiring. New seat upholstery. New rear springs. Comes with new vinyl Tiger-Top. Includes tow bar and towing lights. Everything works: gauges, lights, vacuum-tube radio, heater, vacuum wipers, cigarette lighter, etc. New master cylinder and brake lines. Original 6v electrical system. Fresh paint. Recent shocks and u-joints. Added turn signals and seat belts for safety (and passenger-side tail light), and off-road lights; otherwise all original. Original rims go with it but not installed. NO RUST. No “Willy’s Wobble”. Current CA registration. Clear title.
Many other new parts not listed. This is an excellent driver, but not a show car. Great fun on desert trails. If interested, email me your phone number and I’ll give you a call (email through Craigslist). Thanks for your interest in my vintage Willys!”

“I have a 77 Jeep DJ5, right hand drive. She has the inline 6 with a 1 barrel carb, roof rack, gun rack between the seats, toggles for the backup lights (to make sure you backing up doesn’t scare deer), roof lights, both doors slide perfectly and I just primered the interior so I can paint it. She has a brush guard and 3,000 pound winch which works fairly well for a vehicle that weighs 3300 pounds total.
She has a busted driver’s side windshield (you can still see out of it but it’s a hunting Jeep so it hasn’t slowed me any.)”

“Real DIFFRENT CJ, used in the military for pulling planes around. Has a 6 cyclinder diesel & automatic. Had a lot of modification done to it,Dana 60 front & back,4:56 gears,lockers,35 spline axles, bigger brakes, high pinion, atlas tranfer case 3:8 twin stick & there more. Would like to trade for a flat fender,corvette or some kind of muscle car. Woul take offers to. Jeep. Plow. Muscle car. Corvette pro street. WILLYS.”
