This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/28/2014) It looks like this CJ-2A has a WWII body of some type.
“Willy’s Army Jeep. Runs great. Good condition … new tires and top. Towing bar.”
There are multiple ads across the country for a 1953 M-38A1 for only $3000. This too-good-to-be-true offer is made using a gmail address that is also selling other vehicles across the country. It looks like a scammer to me.
Here’s the ad:

Tim visited the WWII National Memorial in Washington, DC, recently and discovered it included a relief sculpture of a jeep.
