This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willy’s jeep, 4 cylinder with army style tires installed. Rear end was rebuilt and ran one season at deer lease. Body is in great shape, has heavy gauge steel bumper with tow bar. Needs a little help on seats and brakes but will make a great hunting vehicle or farm truck. Currently painted in camo colors.”
We had the last of the family Christmases last night. So, no updates were planned. But, naturally during true middle of the party a corrupt file brought down the site. I properly ignored the problem and enjoyed myself anyway (as you can see below).
Everything is working correctly now. Even I am functioning pretty well

Here’s a 1949 photo of a CJ-2A equipped with a generator powering a magnet. It was developed by a truck driver named Stanley Smale.

(04/20/2014) “I have a 1950 Willys Jeep for sale. The jeep was recently painted on a galvanized body. It has a 302 V8 with a 4 speed toploader transmission. The frame is fitted with custom bumpers, power rack and pinion steering and autometer gauges.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
Appears solid.
“1946 Flat Fender Willys with cammed Chevy 350. Four wheel drive, new tires (32s), diamond plated over rear with custom headers and 4 inch side exhaust. Turbo tranny. New softtop. Excellent mechanical condition and solid frame and body. Just bought another Jeep so give me a good offer.”
Looks in good shape.
