“You feel that… its Summer right around the corner. Tired of being left behind on the trails? Getting no looks driving around in your weak rig? Looking to make strangers come talk to you. Well, maybe the last part isn’t too go. But it happens when you are driving a rig that NO-ONE else has.
For sale is my 1953 Willys CJ3B.
Very cool “high hood” that has a lot of new and old going for it.
Sadly, I just don’t have the time to drive it anymore. The price is firm at $6k. I have far, FAR more in it, but it is time for me to move on.
The car is a solid driver, a beast off road and runs like clock-work- but I will note, it does need a new head-gasket (price is adjusted to reflect repair)
Here are the specks and pics- let me know if you are interested and we can arrange viewing / test drive / etc.
It runs. It looks to be a CJ-3A chassis with an M-38A1 body.
“This is a 1962 Willy’s Jeep 4×4 with all original 4 cylinder/3 speed running gear. Has new upholstery, new tires, new mag wheels, all new wiring under dash.”
It doesn’t run, but does include an overdrive.
“Rare 1947
Low fender CJ2A
This is a project vehicle, it is not running.
There is an engine that comes with it, AMC 2.5L
Standard transmission
Twin stick transfer case
Warn Overdrive
I believe it is a 4.56 gearingin g
There are two doors
Frame for the back seat
5 original wheels
It has some rust, some bondo
as well as some welds that look like bubble gum”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/24/2015) Looks like a good price. Seller thinks this is a 1949, but better check the VIN to know for sure. Has an updated engine some other mods.
“1949 Willy’s CJ-2a. Last of the split window model, only about 700 produced that year.
1.8L Ford Pinto engine (70’s vintage). Original running gear otherwise. Full roll cage, widened front fenders, steering box in front of axle, fiberglass seats, 12V, custom aluminum wheels, custom built replacement fuel tank, bikini top, half doors, full top w/ doors, cheap stereo. Clear title in my name.
This was my daily driver/work truck for nearly 6 years and then 14 years ago I parked it in my garage where it remained until last month. It ran when I parked it, but just barely (was a serious oil burner). I’ve made no attempt to start it. If you’re the lucky new owner you’ll have to pick it up with a trailer.
There’s some rust, particularly on the tailgate and some around the window, but the floor pans and rear corners are solid. The hood is slightly caved with rust on the hinge. It does not have the parking brake.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3495
(08/17/2015) It’s worth a look.
“This is an incredibly solid, original 1960 Willys Wagon 2 door Maverick Edition. It has been extremely well taken care of over the years and drives amazing given its original status. The “Super Hurricane” flathead straight-six engine starts and runs like a top. The whole drive train is solid, it has a manual 3 speed transmission with an overdrive also referred to as a “brownie” gear. 4 wheel drive shifts and works good too. Has no problem starting or getting around, even during winter. Continue reading
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/23/2015) No front seat?
“1943 jeep willies 327 engine .New clutch.4×4 works great.”
