Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a project –
The Good-
Solid cab (except for one hole – see picture) and box. Somebody tried to put a 283 chevy with an automatic in it – and failed! Included is a parts truck with a non-running F134.
Many parts are included, the transfer case that’s in the vehicle has an overdrive on it. The transfer case on the non-running engine has a pto on it. Also included is a new windshield plus new rubber for all the windows. Plus Service and owners manuals (reprints).
The Bad-
Frame has been repaired above the front axle on both sides (see pictures).
Somebody put 3.91 gears in it – I have no idea if they have been properly setup. The parts truck does have 5.38 but it is a narrow track.
The wheel well for the spare tire was cut out and welded in upside down (???)
Missing the heater- Found one, but the housing is rusted.
I have too many projects – it would be nice to see somebody restore the Jeep.”

146K miles but engine is in GREAT running condition!
