UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
(02/06/2018) Seller is feeling out the market, so not sure how serious.
“Just putting this out there. I don’t want to sell it for sure. 1953 Willys CJ-3B. The “ugly duckling” of CJ jeeps. Engine, transmission, frame, etc. all original. Original body minus the areas I patched for rust. Patches came from another 3B loaner body. Body and paint in good shape for saying I’m not a professional car guy. Engine has been rebuilt and bored .030 to fix a cracked block. One piston was sleeved. Too much to say about this rig. It’ll take you anywhere you want to go, as long as you’re not in a hurry.”
UPDATE: Still Available. Now listed at Warjeeps.com.
(03/04/2018) Seller notes this is a very early GPW. Appears to have a few mods.

This will take you anywhere off road or highway and it will actually appreciate , not depreciate.”

More evidence that suggests the rumor of a Spokane Jeep dealer extending CJ-2As into “CJ-2Ls” was true. Thanks to Jay for spotting it. The hardtop has a Cab Enclosure data plate, suggesting that this top is a modified (hacked) version of that top.

“1948 Willys CJ-2A Jeep complete. This jeep is perfect for a full restoration project. Engine turns over freely, but does not start. Needs brakes. It has a hard top taken from a 1/4 ton truck welded to the body. Surface rust and some sheet metal rust out (see photos).
Started restoration, but stopped due to injury and now moving. Have all the parts removed plus new 50 Amp 12 volt alternator.”
I saw this one Facebook. I didn’t realize that the Sam Warner Military Museum in Tennessee had such an extensive collection of jeeps, including some airborne prototypes. I will make it a point to visit there during my May trip.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500

This looks to be a CJ-3A with an M-38 body and front clip (except for grille).
“This CJ3A has been restored with a rebuilt engine and a new body, braking system, 12-volt electrical system, seats and soft top. In addition, five 6 x 16 inch unmounted wheels are included. It’s not perfect, but it runs well. I will consider reasonable offers.”
