Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This ad promoting “8 reasons why the ‘Jeep’ does more jobs … better!” appeared in the March 15, 1956, issue of the Heppner Gazette Times in Heppner, Oregon. Interesting that it shows a dual pane windshield.

“1951 willys wagon. This wagon was restored in the early 2000s. Has some rat-rod embellishments, like the turn signals. Mustang “cleveland” engine and automatic transmission, edelbrock carb,air shocks. Not perfect, not completely restored but closer than most.”
