About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1943 Ford World War Two military jeep. Yes it’s a ford not a Willy’s ! Same everything but ford just had stamps on there’s. Runs and drives. Yard driver. Needs brake work ! Rusted and not pretty but cool piece. 50s model inline/straight 6 engine and manual transmission. No title but bill of sale with be given. Seats , fuel tank , roof , hood scoop and engine are not original.”
(03/31/2018) Travis shared this jeep. It has a hard-to-find Boston Top.
“I’ve decided that I don’t have the time needed to restore this CJ as it deserves. The motor runs well, does not smoke. The rest is explained in the photos. It needs a full restoration. The tub needs extensive work, the clutch is frozen in neutral position and it has no brakes, it does not move under it’s own power, yet! It does have a fairly new battery, dist. cap, rotor, wires and plugs. I have pulled the starter, disassembled and cleaned it up and it works very well, especially with 12 volts whipping it over! Right now it has 12 volt ignition system but is no trouble putting it back to original. I have a brand new, in the box, repro fuel tank, the original leaks like a sieve! I also have a newer replacement tailgate and another set of wheels. These tires hold air as they should. These Jeeps are becoming pretty scarce! $2,000, Firm.”
“Very early production jeep. 1942 script ford gpw. This is a 4 digit serial number jeep. Body is very rusty. No engine. Does have the original early transmission and transfer case. Data plates are intact. Frame seems decent. $2000 oboe.”

These documents were in a late 1940s Willys Overland binder.
There seems to be a very slight difference between the two sprayer packages offered by Field Force Manufacturing. One package used a pump with stainless steel non-magnetic plungers that gave the pump higher capacity and more pressure capability. It weighed slightly more, too.
Did some AFB’s combine blue and olive drab colors like this?
“For sale a 1951 Willis Jeep M-38. I am selling it because I am moving out of state and have no room for it at my new house. This Jeep is restored as a Air Force Military Police vehicle from Eglan, AFB. The Jeep has new wiring, clutch, pressure plate, brakes, brake lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, carburetor, tires, and starter. The fuel pump on it now is not the correct pump, but the correct one is included with many other extra parts. The seats have been recovered with the original springs. The gages work sometimes erratically, The engine is a Govt. Rebuild. The attached items on the vehicle are the siren, red light, rotating mars light, and spotlight. There is period radio used by MP’s. The vehicle is being offered here and on EBAY. If you decide to buy it you will have to arrange your own transportation.”
