These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Maury shared these Texaco service documents for Universal Jeeps — presumably CJ-5s, CJ-6s, DJ-5s, and DJ-6s, as it appears to ignore DJ-3As (oh the inhumanity!). You can download both documents as high resolution Tiffs and/or JPGS, printable here:

It’s got a few additional extras that aren’t original (hubs, entry straps and side handles), but overall looks stock and good.

This looks in pretty good shape and appears to have a nice Meyer half cab.

The lip on the passenger front fender may indicate it is fiberglass.

“Project. Not currently driveable. Will need to be trailered. Needs engine and brake work to be started and stopped. I have driven it. It shifts through all the gears, low/high works and 2wd/4wd works. Some extra parts and original wheels/tires included. The picture makes the body look better than it actually is. Paint is blue peal coat over mostly bare metal. Topper is black Rustoleum. A better paint job with some body work would do a lot for it. With that said, it is definitely still a solid vehicle for 70+ years old. Has dings, dents and old repairs. A few small rust holes in the floor. All is common, repairable and no biggie. Needs to be seen in person to appreciate and evaluate it’s condition for yourself.
