Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This convertible DJ-3A runs and drives. It does not have the elusive convertible soft top, nor any of the related equipment.

“1956 WILLYS JEEP DJ3A . 87767 original miles. This is a running WELL KEPT 1956 dj3a jeep willys, clear title, paint wiring engine transmission gauges rims everything IN GOOD CONDITION, new battery and,12 volts system which works great, upholstery in good condition. This is a time capsule, stored for more than 35+ years, expect scratches here and there, no doors.Someone just pointed out that this jeep may have been the exclusive soft top or convertible fastback, why? because the top of the windshield frame has a set of buttons or snaps suggesting that a cover top could be attached there, this jeep doesn’t have the frames or canvas”

“1959 Jeep Willys Classic. Excellent condition. Notably mostly orig. stock condition and virtually no rust anywhere. Runs great. 3 on the tree. Gets attention and stops the crowds every time we take it out. Hardly any 50 Willys in the country still on the road or for sale, especially one this original and in this shape. “1943 Willy’s Jeep ( Ford ) . 327 Chevy V8, T-90 transmission , Dana 18 transfer case 29 tooth, power steering.33 x 12.5 Goodyear Mud tires. I bought this a few years back not running as a tinker project. I have had a lot of fun getting it running and fixing it up. I have been using it as a grocery getter around town and enjoyed the heck out of it. Like any Willy’s of it’s age it is not perfect but I have replaced quite a few things so you should be able to turn the key and enjoy.
Parts I have replaced (New) – power steering box, tie rod ends, steering column, new drum brakes, calipers and master cylinder , radiator , electric fan, front seats with 4 point harness, electric fuel pump, MSD ignition , LED head and tail lights, carburetor (3 years old), jerry can, one new fuel tank with sending unit.exhaust pipe and muffle replaced back from headers. New wiper motors and wipers.

“This flat fender Jeep was born as a post-World War ll 1952 Willy’s M38 military Jeep. At some point in its life it received an all-aluminum Buick V8 (215 CID), fiberglass fenders and hood, Rancho freedom rider lift, 31×10.5×15 tires, Con-Ferr shackles, full cage, unique diamond plate type rear wrap, steps, and dash. It still has the stock transmission and transfer case with PTO. PTO winch is included. Stock axle assemblies, I do not know the gear ratios or if it has lockers/LSDs; however, it does have factory axle tags for LSD fluid required.
