“I have a 1945 Willy’s jeep. It is good shape for being 74 years old. It still has the flat head in it and cranks right up. The person I got it from said the winch worked but I have not messed with it. 4wd drive works and the low and high range. It does leak some oil in places. It’s a fun and nice jeep. Every time I ride it around people talk to me about it. I am going to move soon which forces the sale otherwise I would keep it. It has been converted to 12volt.”

Powered by a 1960s 90 HP Chevy 4 cylinder that runs good (these are very good engines).

Correct WWII Ford GPW chassis with larger steering box moved forward on the frame.
All of the sheet metal and the combat wheels are new reproduction.
The tires are new.
This Jeep was being built and was not completed.
The wiring will need to be completed, some peripheral like trailer plug and the paint needs to be completed.

Modified M-170 Body Big Bear, CA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700.

This M-170 body has been modified on the passenger side.

cj6-m170-ie-ca0 cj6-m170-ie-ca1 cj6-m170-ie-ca2

“I have a cj6 or possibly modified m170 tub for sale … Basically a cj5 but 20 inches longer so it would be a great start to a jeep with more room for gear or people or both , plus way more stable on and off road… I have had it for about 7 years and had every intention of building it as I have loved the old cj’s forever but wanted more room for tools and camping gear.

I bought it right after my first kid was born and thought it would make a great family jeep and was going to take the drive train from my other old cj to build it… Sadly after the frame was stolen from my back yard, I put the project on hold and frankly waited too long because now my kids just want to go out in the other jeep so I don’t want to take it apart to build the cj6… It’s got some rust and some dings but its pretty solid…

<– Day 1: Newfoundland 2019 (Or Rust) | Day 3 August 4th: Maine’ly Driving Late –>

The Ingram’s and Ogles won the Newfoundland 2019 (Or Rust) trip yesterday by reaching Newfoundland first on Saturday. The problem is, they reached the wrong Newfoundland … I don’t know how they found it, but apparently there’s a Newfoundland, Pennsylvania. Those folks from Paris (Paris, Illinois), weren’t messing around! Well played folks!

After celebrating their achievement, they left for Monticello, New York, where they joined most of the rest of the crew for the first group camp. Below we have Bill’s CJ-5 and trailer from Alaska Or Rust 2017.

To the left is Roger Martin next to his 2A and on the right is his friend Don Ray, who just purchased that Mitsubishi 3B (he owns two others).

Roger filed this report with pics from his 2019 SouthWest Ohio FC Get-Together last weekend. Roger found himself very busy all weekend, so didn’t get as many photos of from Saturday as he’d hoped.

jeep-lineup-2

One of the special events this year was a 60 mile ride in Craig Brockhaus’ tour jeep along the Little Miami River, then down through the gorge at Fort Ancient. Roger notes that it was supposed to be just a short drive to get some ice cream … that’s what happens when Craigs is at the wheel!

This blue FC 170 on the trailer belongs to Willard Brown he bought it this past winter. It has twenty-nine thousand miles on it; the same families have had it since 1975. Previously, it was a water truck at the fairgrounds in Celina, Ohio.

The NEW Early Ford V-8 Museum, Auburn, IN

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

In 2018, the Early Ford V-8 Museum tripled its size. Housed in an original deco-style dealership in Auburn, Indiana, it looks worth a stop on our next trip. We didn’t have time to stop at the old museum when we visited Auburn in 2013, but it sure looks worth a stop now. Anyone been there?
