1963 Brochure For New Gladiator and Wagoneer

This 1963 one-page double-sided brochure printed in Canada announces the new Wagoneer and Gladiator models. What I found interesting was on the back. The chart shows the electrical setups for all vehicles as of 1963. I was surprised to see that while the Surrey DJ-3A still had the 6 volt battery option, the standard Dispatcher DJ-3A did not. I was surprised to see the FCs also had a 6 volt option still.

It is possible this was unique to Canadian made jeeps, but I can think of no reason that would be the case.

1950 CJ-3A Waco, TX **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9000.

Given the year and the military passenger fender, I checked to see if this was a CJ-V35U. The spare can holder and the tire mount on the back of the tailgate appear consistent with one. However, if it had the correct dash plates, most are missing.

“1950 Willys Jeep CJ3A
Excellent mechanical condition.
Starts and runs great. Even when cold. Original drive train.
4×4 Works Properly

No power anything.
Good tires.
Nice seats.

Some rust but remaining metal is solid. Gauges work. But speedo is contrary.
Antique tags, so is street legal but mostly used on the ranch.

(Sprayer not included)
You will not find one that runs better than this one.
Have blue Texas title.
Mileage unknown”

Listed as a 1946 CJ-2A, this seems more like a GPW based on the front cross member. But, there’s been some frame mods, so this needs a closer inspection.

“The 1946 Jeep CJ 2A was the first production Civilian Jeep, hence CJ… See, ya learn something everyday ! 🙂

This ’46 has reportedly only traveled a little over 12,000 miles. They are VERY basic, they are not fast, but, the bloody things will go just about anywhere…just don’t be in a rush 🙂

The Jeep starts instantly cold or warm and runs great. There are no rust significant issues and as expected is finished in Olive drab.

“1952 Willys M38A1 (MD) military Jeep. This is the first year of round fender Jeep and the design would later be used for the civilian CJ5. It is powered by the 134ci “Hurricane” f-head inline 4 cylinder, has a 3-speed t90 transmission, 2-speed transfer case, and 5.38 gears. The powertrain is all period correct but I do not know whether it is original to this particular jeep. The engine runs great, doesn’t overheat, and starts easily in all seasons. Continue reading →

Listed as a 1953, the body is CJ-2A and the frame appears to have CJ-2A front frame horns. This also has a single lever PTO.
