“I am selling my ’51 cj3a Willys. I have had this jeep for about 8 years and have fixed almost everything! Starting with the brakes it has all new brake lines, soft to hard. Brake drums to wheel cylinders. Master cylinder all the way down to axel bearings. The steering box has also been rebuilt. It has a new worm gear, pitment arm and trailing arm which has eliminated all slop in the steering. I built a stainless gas tank which is around 20 gallons and fits all the way across the jeep seats and gives more legroom. Also, all new hard fuel lines and pump. New wiring from front to back. New starter, radiator, stainless battery box, bumpers (both front and back), new exhaust and rebuilt exhaust manifold, rebuilt transmission, and new bucket seats. The body is bedlined green.

We woke up early Friday morning with plans to drive north.
But, before we left South Padre, Ann wanted to walk in the surf. So, we drove to the beach. Despite the red-flag-beware-of-the-water warning, we walked into the water. I had to deliver a reminder to my wife that she shouldn’t be playing in the surf at all, because I didn’t want to have to carry her back to the car. So, despite her inner-child, she behaved.
As we left the beach we encountered the South Padre Convention Center and these large upside down head sculptures.
Steve discovered this unusual jeep-related photo.
