This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (12/03/2013) I see nothing to indicate it’s earlier than 1947, but it does look good.
“This is a 1948, not a 1945 as my add previously stated. I made a mistake when originally posting..
All original drive train. Has overdrive. Mechanically perfect, needs nothing.”

(07/03/2015) Maybe worth a look? Dash might be funky, as the part surrounding the gauges is a different color.
“1954 Jeep CJ-3B. Excellent running condition. Recently rebuilt transfer case. Less than 7,000 miles on rebuilt engine. Comes with two tops; white vinyl soft top and black bikini top. Tires in excellent condition.”

(10/02/2014) Looks in good shape. I think this includes a CJ-5.
“1948 jeep restored about 10 years ago. One of the nicest around and made so a bigger guy can drive it. Turns on a dime. Too nice for the hills. But made to go hunting if that’s what you want. Nice comfortable high back seats make for comfortable ride. and has a S 10 tire rack on the back. Bikini top as well as a full soft top. Radio needs to be reinstalled. No biggy there. Drives smooth with 1200 dollars worth of wheels. And matching spare. $8500. It is one of the nicest CJ3A’s around. You won’t find one this nice for this price. And no diamond plate so no rust has been cover up. Heater fan does need to be reversed. Price is firm. Has sat for over a year. Has roll bar and is gun metal grey. I just don’t drive it or the 55 CJ5 with a snow plow so both need to go. Both have 4 cyl. engines.”

“1942- Pulled by a quintette of jeeps instead of reindeer, Santa Claus rides a tank at Fort Knox. This was the Christmas greeting from the men of the armored force. Name “Yardbird” is painted on lead jeep. The others look to have names as well but I can’t make them out.”
