About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The windshield doesn’t appear to seal on the cowl.
“Nice old Jeep new tires Fresh engene and theTransmission and transfer case has just been rebuilt many extras tow bar, front hitch I’m heading for CO and its not going with me $3000.00 OBO” Be nice I’m loseing money on this” Gary Born 520-466-3066″
The seller believes the engine is original. However, the ID# starting with 4T indicates this was originally used in a late 48 or early 49 truck (thanks to the 2A page for that info)
“1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2A. ID# 69538 This vehicle runs great and is in excellent condition. Features brand new exterior body and paint and brand new top cover. Interior is clean and finished. No rust or holes whatsoever in the tub. Rear bench seat is newly reupholstered. Engine is original ID# 4T36907. Breaks are brand new as well. Undercarriage is also in great condition, rust free. Also includes original gas can and extra rim for spare tire.”
It’s not a perfect restoration, but might be worth a look.
“F/S: 1946 Willy’s CJ2-A $5,200
This Jeep runs and drives excellently. It has new wheels and tires, fuel tank, master brake cylinder, and a 12 volt battery conversion (much more reliable than the old 6 volt systems). The Jeep has fresh oil, brake fluid, clean oil/air filters, new spark plugs, and freshly packed grease fittings.
The Jeep is a blast to drive. The 4×4, in combination with the big tires and small wheelbase, makes it a beast off-road. The “Go Devil” four cylinder motor is true to its reputation as being reliable and powerful. Also, it has a Power Take Off in the rear that can be used to power farm equipment like a generator, wood splitter, or winch. A working PTO is a rare option to find in these Jeeps.
Overall, this is an excellent old jeep. Keep in mind, though, it is almost 70 years old. It is great for cruising around town, back roads, or off-roading, but it can’t do highways. It can be driven home locally, but I would recommend transporting it over far distances. Transportation can be arranged through me for a serious buyer.
*The headlights and one brake light recently stopped working, but I have the parts to fix them and I hope to have it done before selling it.”
(03/14/2013) This may be a good price if the suspension was modified to crazily.

(01/19/2013) This has some interesting rims. You might check to see if this has a title before driving out.
“THIS IS FOR A 1948 CJ2A RANCH JEEP. HAS BEEN USED ON THE RANCH FOR 40 YEARS. A NEW CRATED F – HEAD ENGINE WAS PUT IN THE JEEP YEARS AGO. EXTRA PARTS ARE 2 TOW BARS, GEAR BOXES, 4 USED TIRES ON RIMS, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PARTS.”
“This 1947 Jeep Willys was purchased in 1986 and has no title. it does however have a colorado VIN inspection and was cleared. it can be titled in any state … just needs some paperwork done. the VIN inspection and a bill of sale which i will provide. it was used very little for hunting on private roads so it wasnt titled in colorado. it was a project my grandfather wanted to do 25 years ago. it runs great has a Buick V6 231. it has chevrolet steering. the brakes work … just need to be bled as it has been sitting in a shed for some years now but i have been running it and with some TLC it will be a very nice vehicle again. we have a spare tire for it but it was flat so it is at the repair shop now being fixed.”
This appears in great shape, though the pics aren’t the best.
