These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 WILLYS JEEP CJ-3 FOR SALE WITH TOP AND DOORS AND WINCH RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT CALL ME”

(07/03/09) It looks pretty good.
“1949 Model- CJ-3A. 2 door, New body & paint (yellow), mechanically sound.Comp restore, new trans, new fuel pump. Vehicle located in Lyons, NE.”
It looks like there’s been some changes to the floor boards — probably rusted out and were replaced.
“We are selling our 1950 CJ-3A. We have used this Jeep to explore many trails in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The Jeep is nearly origional with only bolt on accessories and could easily be restored to origional condition if desired. The body is in very good shape with only a little panel straightening needed. I haven’t found any rust on the Jeep except for the hat channels which have been strengthened, but would require new for restoration. This CJ is very solid….”

It needs a new rear driveline. Otherwise, it looks to be a very good price.

“Sorry Willys owners. I need money for a construction project and that is why I am cutting the price on this fantastic 1953 Willys. It has a fresh 327, 35 muds, 9k winch. Runs like a champ. Stored undercover, has top and doors, trailering parts.”

A stock jeep with a body that looks pretty good.

This appears mostly stock.

“1951 Willys Overland Jeep. Flat fender, one piece windshield, 4 cylinder flat head engine (rebuilt), tranny and tcase rebuilt, new wiring harness (CJ5 style with fuse block). 3 speed on floor. Faded out red paint. Floor boards are in good shape. Vinyl seats in front, no seat in rear. No spare tire carrier. No rust holes. Newly painted metal hard top. Doors and opening fillers need to be painted and windows installed. Runs great. Titled in NC. Best you’ll find for the price!!! Cash only. Buyer will be responsible for pickup.”
