“1948 Willys Jeep has a 289 small block ford shoved in it. fairly rust free has a odd-cab but is a very complete old cj- 2 no title I bought it at a auction years ago and the projects must go”
It’s stretched CJ-5 w/ a CJ-6 body.
“It has the strait six 258 motor
4 speed tranny T-18. Most CJs had a 3 speed in them.
It’s a cj5 extended to a six frame with a cj6 fiberglass body.
Runs, drives, all drive train works fine. However it is not ready for the highway yet if that’s you’re intent. It needs a couple minor things addressed for complete safety on the highway. Would be fine on a trail right now.
It’s in solid shape for the right person to turn a few things around to make it a daily runner.
I have a lot of nice extra parts.
Axles (scout front and ford 8.8 rea), nice set of seats, and some other stuff.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $650.
I’m digging this funky old jeep.
“selling a running driving jeep cj 5 with clean ohio title. Has the pto t case. The engine smokes some and the main crank seal clutch side leaks some. frame tires are in very great shape. It will also be on ebay for better pictures. Note if does not sell will be parted out. CASH ONLY NO TRADES! Don’t waste my time or yours.”
This has a ventilating windshield.
“Runs great. Factory Dauntless V6 engine with the 3 speed manual trans. 4X4 works great. Brand new tires and comes with Bimini top and soft top. Heater needs blower motor. Trade for a Harley, a side by side, or a nice camper. Title in hand”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Looks in good shape.

Ron’s got this jeep for sale. It is dissembled.
“Used 1966 Jeep cj-5 Tuxedo Park edition. Bought as a daily driver project, turned out to be unsafe and larger project (frame unsafe) than I wanted. Have original frame (goes with it) which I repaired, but secured a solid M38A1 frame and mounted engine/trans/transfer in it. As far as I want to go. Will be safe anyway. Have Dana 25 and 44 from M38A1 with 9″ drums and Dana 27 and 44 from original with 10″ drums. Engine, 231 Buick, ran good with good compression, Th400 Automatic also worked fine. Never tried 4wd (Dana 18 with warn overdrive) only drove once. New parts purchased before aware of condition: Headers, complete floor pan, Rancho shocks, Plastic gas tank, fuel sending unit, valve covers, Rochester carb, extra (not on), Ford reverse manual steering box, Heavy duty tie rods and ball joints, Borgenson steering conversion, new seats (have originals also), new bushings for springs for cj-5 frame. Rust on tub has been stopped, there are holes in wheel wells, with plate steel over these see pictures. Floor pan is for poorly fixed rust on tub floor. Everything else solid. Parts needed to complete, wiring harness, couple of brake lines, and body bushings. I will consider reasonable offers, but as with all these jeeps have a lot invested. Am trying to sell all together, but may consider parting at a future date. Can provide many more pictures if needed. Mileage listed may not be accurate. Thanks for looking.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/10/2016) The gap between the front end of the fenders and grille suggests this is a post 1972 CJ-5 frame.
“I am selling a 1949 Willys that has a Chevy 350 with RV cam with under 2000 miles on it. It has a large 4 row aluminum radiator, Jacobs ignition, It has ARB lockers front & rear. Rear Axle also has full floating hubs with lockouts. Front axle has disc brakes. 4-speed with granny gear. 2 fuel tanks. It has a CJ5 frame.”
Worth a look.
“Runs, just needs body work and brake lines. Bought it recently for my wife but found out she was too tall. Cash only. You haul as well. Clean title”
Might be a Tux Park III? Tim spotted this ad.
“Hi, thanks for looking. This is a pretty unique little Jeep. Known history from new. I bought it from the original owner 17 years ago. It is the Tuxedo Park Model which was an early attempt at making an upscale Jeep. It has chrome grab bar, windshield hinges, bumpers, windshield hardware etc. Shabby original convertible top is included for patterns if you’d like. Also I have the original Fisher plow installed when new in 1963 which you can also have if you’d like. I took the plow off when I started to restore the Jeep. The Jeep runs excellent. Brakes are down but I had put new wheel cylinders in so just need bleeding. Reupholstered as original. Repainted as original. I left the dash alone to show the original color. The tub has floor rust underneath. Frame is fine. Sheet metal is needy. Nice whitewall radials. PTO- power take off winch, Tow Bar and Roll Bar also included. 76000 original miles. Easy project to finish. It is at the point where a little brake work and wiring the tail lights and you can use it all Summer and no one else will have one like it. How many original pink Jeeps do you think there are within a 1000 miles? Jeep. CJ5. Scrambler. 4X4. Tuxedo Park.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
(03/23/2016) Nice vintage CJ-5, though the tails lights don’t look stock. But, that’s trivial.
“1961 CJ-5 Bone Stock / Totally un-molested. F-Head 134 Hurricane 4 Cylinder / 3 Speed Transmission T 18 twin shift transfer case. Everything on the jeep works. Jeep has new springs and shocks, shackle nuts and bolts and Fresh a oil change. The heater even works, but will need the heater core replaced. It has a small drip. Hard top is in great condition, one of the best hard tops I have ever seen. As you can see from the pictures there is slight surface rust on the hard top, just scratches. The body is very straight. The jeep has always been kept in garage. The body has minor rust as you can see from the picture. At some point in its life the jeep received a matching sky blue second paint job. The passenger side floor board is the worst and will need to be fixed, but this a pretty simple job. Tires have good tread and I have a spare pair of studs.
I was thinking modifying this jeep, but I can’t bring myself to molest a Jeep this nice. It’s a true survivor It’s almost impossible to find a 55 year old CJ-5 in this condition. I’m looking for a Tuxedo Park Mark IV. Drive it home tomorrow or tow it with the tow bar. Bring a 2″ Ball. I drive this Jeep every weekend to Garage Sales. I bought it from the original owner with 34,000 miles. They put $2,000 worth of work into it in 2014. Water Pump, Battery, Radiator, Fuel Tank, New Carb, Fuel Line, New Fan Belt, Ignition, Starter, Etc. Etc. Etc. I also have pristine period correct collectors license plates I might throw in for the right price. I also have a Dana 30 front axle with discs and completely rebuilt and restored Ramsey PTO winch. I would have to adjust the price if you wanted me to include these too.
$6,000 OBO or trade for a Tuxedo Park Mark IV CJ5 or CJ6 I will give you cash to make up the balance if the Tuxedo Park if it’s really nice.”
