About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Otis is selling his restored CJ-2A. You can reach him at 928 363 1912.
“1947 CJ2A serial # 88970, engine runs great, transmission and transfer case are excellent, too many new parts to list, receipts of $13,000 for parts and service available, tried to keep original in restoration, there is nothing left to do but enjoy, $18,500. call for more details.
“1946 Willys CJ2A. Rear crash damage. Motor, transmission, t-case were all working fine at the time of the incident. With the damage being concentrated to the right rear it should still be good. Also includes a hard half top, windshield, and hard door”
“Early cj2a tub, grill, tail gate, 2 hoods, windshield frame, extra dash cowl assembly, and 2 seat frames. Tub is actually pretty solid sans the normal floor spots. Selling for a friend of mine. $500 obo. Will have a matching stripped cj2a frame available (no drive train or axles) and another complete tub and stripped frame (same as above) available in a week or so for additional. Would be willing to make a “whole lot” deal.”
This ad indicates it has been listed for three years. So, unclear if this is still available or not (but it’s the first time I’ve seen it under this link.
“Rebuilders dream! 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. All original. Body, motor and drive train in good condition but it hasn’t been started in a number of years. Seats need re-upholstered. Various new/spare parts included as well as owner’s manual and rebuilder’s manual. Original wheel rims included.”
“1948 Willys Jeep For Sale. This Jeep has sat in a storage facility for 20+ years. Because it’s sat for so long I’m sure it needs some TLC to get it running well.”
“47 Willis cj2 some restoration has been done in good shape does need a new distributor or the one on it rebuilt. Not a reproduction. Will entertain serious offers”
“My family has an old jeep, it’s a relic that has been very hard for us to let go. It’s a 1947 Willys CJ-2a that’s been sitting in our garage for 30+ years. Was my great uncles. We wish we had the funds and resources to get this amazing piece of history drivable but it’s not realistic right now. The body is intact and everything is original besides a camo paint job my dad did a long time ago.. It doesn’t run and needs a complete overhaul because of how long its been sitting in our garage.
Fortunately, there are a lot of manuals online on how to do it.
I would love to see this jeep find a home to someone who would take good care of it and someone who wouldn’t mind staying in contact with my family so we could see the process of it being restored. and possibly have a ride in it once it’s finished being restored 🙂
Feel free to contact me for more details if you have any questions or concerns.
The buyer will have to come over and tow it themselves. we will do what we can to make it as easy as possible.”
