Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 cj2a custom built new frame lengthened to cj5 length and body for more room in driving area 98 vortex v6. sm420 trans scout front and rear end 4.88 Detroit locker rear air locker front 33inch tires full custom cage beard seats. Four point seat belts all new gauges licensed for the street new tag for 2013.”

Only 68K miles.
Original GoDevil Engine.
Rare optional heater.
Great restoration candidate.
Runs, drives and brakes.
Frame is very solid, body needs some work.
Needs Windshield, gas tank, seat cushions and some small parts to make complete.
Also includes set of original equipment 16″ wheels.”

This has some good updates. Might make a great project. “1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A Flat Fender 225 Buick V6 Posi traction Raised uspension Tru Trac tires on spoked rims (lots of tread) Locking hubs Roll bar Swing peddles 11″ brakes Saginaw steering Jeep as been parked for the last 13 years, ran when parked but will need some work to go back on the road. Clutch system, master cylinder, ignition. Great project with most the hard work done! $1450.00 OBO”

The body is rough, but it runs.
“Cj3a lifted upgraded to the dauntless v6 so its got plenty of power over the 4 cylinder. 3spd roll cage 3pt harnesses new 33 inch super swampers Detroit locker in the rear. Tool rack New canvas seats. Jeep is lots of fun fires right up and goes frame is nice but the tub is held together with fiberglass and bondo so it could use a tub and some tlc. Ct reg bill of sale. ”

This is a project.
“47 cj2a saginaw steering, spring over lift, new shocks, new brakes front converted to chevy disc, buick v6 which runs, jeep needs assembled and a few parts but have most of what is needed , clear title, second buick v6 torn apart, 2 soft tops and doors, I have another set of white soft doors, I just rebuilt a T90 transmission for the engine conversion with most of the internals new, I have other transmissions and transfer cases, I have a title. $3000. I also have a bunch of early CJ5 parts with a title.”
