About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“2 Jeeps 47 CJ2-A (both titled) One is pretty much original. The other has upgraded wheels ,tires, Dana 30 narrow axles, 225 V-6 engine, much. Will not separate. Pictures available.”
Thanks to Mike for sharing this VEC CJ-2A that’s being auctioned on Hemmings.com. While not a perfect restoration, there’s a lot to like here and it’s a long ways towards that goal. The jeep includes a rear PTO gearbox and drum pulley. While functional, the exhaust pipe appears under the frame in the first pic, so that would be a good thing to correct. The front frame rail area could use some restoration, too.
“You’ll need to look twice, but this is a fetching and genuine example of American automotive history. The seller states that this 1945 Willys Jeep CJ-2A, from the first year of civilian Jeep production, is also the 325th such vehicle built in 1945, based on its tub and serial numbers, which the seller says were commonly mismatched in those years. Believed to have been originally sold in California, the Jeep is reported to have undergone a four-year, body-off restoration that included a new master cylinder and wiring harness. Described as 90 percent complete, the Jeep is reported to have a rear-mounted power takeoff with a flat belt drive.”

“Forced to sell my willyz projects. I have two Willyz flat fenders for sale one is a 1943 and one is a 1945. There is also a 1980s chassis with a complete engine. Not sure if it runs, it does spin over. Also included is a pile of parts and a running Buick v6 engine. Both “jeeps” have all body including both windshields in perfect condition. The 1943 frame has been slightly modified to fit scout suspension. I am selling the whole package as a unit. Need it gone as soon as possible $4000 or best offer, at this point ALL offers will be considered. I hate to part with it all but there is no other option.”

“This is my beloved 1948 CJ with a sweet homemade body made out of plate steel with the t-bucket look. It has a reproduction m38 windshield. It has the L134 with the desired kaiser SuperSonic head, t90, and dana 18. It comes on 31×10.50r15 Mastercraft mud terrain tires. This jeep gets all the attention whereever it goes. Jeep has a tabor 9k pound winch with in cab controls. The frame has been boxed. The seats are xp1000 seats out of a newer Polaris RZR. Has LED lights all the way around. Has Brennan Metcalfs tracker disc brake conversion on the front axle. This jeep is well tested on and offroad, it goes everywhere. I really hate to sell it but don’t really need 5 jeeps, and would hate to see it sit. I would like $5000”
