This ain’t no ’42 (as listed in the title to the Ad). I wish I could see those vin plates better. This sure looks like an original color. Dayville is a pretty remote town in the middle of Eastern Oregon. It’s a beautiful drive whether driving from the east or the west.
“all orginal placards, tires, paint job.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep with 2 additional parts jeeps. Vehicle ran when I parked it by the barn 2 years ago. I haven’t tried to start it since. The hydraulics for the plow have been removed and stored in the barn, but they do go with the jeep. The actual mileage is unknown so I listed it as 999,999 miles. One of the 2 parts jeeps is fairly complete including the engine (I haven’t tried to turn it over). The second parts jeep is fairly complete, but is missing the engine.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $950.
(10/04/2010) This might still run if you can put in some gas (bring a boat tank, the hand primer pump and an extra hose).
“I am posting it for my grandpa. Have title, and it has a towbar on front for towing. Ran about 2 years ago until it had a fuel leak at the tank, and was parked. It has two tanks, and 1 leaks.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1900. This has a replacement body.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800
(08/26/2010) It doesn’t run. I’m not sure if the tailgate was filled in or this is a modified DJ body.
“I have 1946 Willys jeep that was left to me by my father. The jeep was last restored in 1987 so it does need work and currently does not run. Unfortunately, due to the current economy I need to part with it. Hopefully, someone is looking for a project vehicle as well as some fun doing it. Call Mike”
UPDATE: Hog spotted this on eBay.
This has a few rough spots, but not bad for a midwest jeep.
“This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. I’ve owned it for about 2 1/2 years and it always lives in my attached garage. When I bought it, the Jeep had been sitting inside a dry, attached garage for the last 25 years. I brought it home, put a new battery in it and poured some gas in the carb and it started right up. Since then I have put new brakes all the way around, rebuilt the wheel cylinders and master cylinder, rebuilt the carburetor, cleaned and sealed the gas tank, and rebuilt much of the front end. We entered it in the 2008 Frog Follies and people just flocked to it. I drove it around town until late last year when the clutch went out. Put a new clutch assembly in it and it’s ready to go again. I liked it because it is about 95 percent original. No one has modified the crap out of it like most of them have been.
It does have some rust present, but it is much, much less than most of its age. Very little rust-thru. I have a clear Indiana title in my name with the original serial number on it. My name is Jerry and you can reach me at 812-204-3300.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
“Husband passed away, have never started the jeep, but he always took it hunting until 2002. Very good condition.”
