“1948 willys jeep/capstan winch and origional hand book”
UPDATE: Was $1800 **SOLD**
(02/04/2012) If this has a flathead, I wonder why the hood is popped. The extender seems awkwardly long, but maybe it is just late.
“1949 WILLYS JEEP 4CLY. FLAT HEAD”
Mark just posted this at Sellajeep.com.
“My father-in-law passed, and my mother-in-law now has a 1948 Willy’s Jeep for sale (and some extra parts). Price is negotiable but she would like about $10,000 for it. The Jeep is currently sitting in her garage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It’s a beautiful vehicle, but unfortunately we don’t have the mechanical skills to work on it.
What I know about the Jeep: it is a 1948 Willy’s Jeep, with new yellow paint. The car (to me) seems to be in great shape. It needs some engine work, which I think has to do more with it having sat in the garage for an extended period of time (probably at least 6 months since it was last turned on). It is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My mother in law also mentioned that they have some extra parts:Tailgate, Will hub, Axle and a Windshield Frame. I have no idea if that is the correct spelling or even names of the parts Karen Watkins (580) 917-2851”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
The grille suggests an earlier vintage jeep, but maybe the grilles were switched. Looks good though.
“Jeep Willy’s 1949 CJ2A 60,000 miles, 4×4 works. asking $4000.”
This might have a MB/GPW body.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
The body needs some work.
“Good frame and running gear.
Chevy small block (engine block bad).
Fenders/ grill/ windshield frame – OK.
Tub has typical floor rust – repanable.
Clear title.
Wife says “No more projects!””
This looks nice enough, though the wood bumper is unusual.
“Runs great!! Engine: 4-134 L recently professionally rebuilt, 3 spd transmittion rebuilt with new sync gears, transfer case has high/low range with PTO,
Electrical converted to 12 V all lights working, new feul tank and pump, rebuilt starter, tires are in great shape. Home made hard top can be removed.
Has been parked inside for most of it’s days. Body is in good shape.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
It doesn’t run.
“Was running when parked in AZ but then my wife’s husband died and it sat for about 5 years. I have no doubts that it will run again. All parts are there. Comes with custom trailer with new tires on trailer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
“Willys CJ2A:
Camoclad Exterior, Yokohama Steel Belted Radials, Willys F-Head Engine with Holley 1920 Carb, so there is no hood cut.
2.36 Dana 41 Rear, Dana 26 Front, T-90 3 speed transmission with Warn Overdrive, making it a 6 speed.
Miles on odometer are under 20k, but not likely accurate since the engine is newer than the original flathead. New Omix electronic distributor. Starts quickly, runs out to around 68-70 mph (overdrive). This is not a museum jeep or a frame off restoration. It can be driven every day or once a week or once a month. All gauges work, fuel gauge is screwy but gives a reading. Slight oil drip on engine.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $750
(05/19/2010) This is awesome! Pure Utility!
