Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks solid. The dash has a custom gauge panel, so it might be a replacement body.

“I have 1946 willys with 1968 302 hiper ford motor out of a gt mustang (was told gt 350 MUSTANG) It has 1973 cj5 axles and steering box , pwer brakes,hyd.clutch,and new wiring that needs to be finished 95% done, comes with the 1946 axels with 10″ drums and new brakes extra transmission and transfer case. Roll bar .and new headers and glass paks”

The engine might have blown a gasket.

Well, that’s the second old jeep stolen in Washington State in the last two weeks (this GPW was stolen last week).

(04/24/2011) This has some interesting mods, including the unusual approach to mounting the gauges. I wonder if those are custom headers. They appear to have an unusual slope (compared to the ones I’ve seen).
