I am moving and this old Willys project has to go. No title — I have the paperwork for a Rebuilders Title. It belonged to a friend’s Dad — part of his major junk vehicle collection. We have both decided to give up, so this ol’ beast has to go. The price is $600 — $500 of that goes to my friend, and $100 is mine for the parts I put into it. Please don’t expect me to haggle on the price — I’m only getting reimbursed for new parts and getting nothing for storing this thing for 3 years. It has the original 4 cylinder engine and turns over fine, I just haven’t got it to start yet. I bought some new parts (coil, cap, condenser, switch, etc.) but haven’t had the time to seriously troubleshoot the issue. There is some spark — it might just need new plugs”

“I have a 1948 willys jeep that I want to sell. I havent went jeeping for over a year. I would rather someone thats going to use it have it. It has a 327ci motor, with a 4speed trans. Spring over lift, and has 35″ tires. Starts and runs good. Mechanicly sound, needs a paint work. I have a 8000lb warn winch that i never mounted that can go with it. I also have two sets of tires, four 35-12.50r15, and five 34-9.50-15 swampers, both are mounted on wheels. ”

“1947 Willy Jeep in great condition. Runs and drives with no problems or leaks. 3 speed high and low with 4 wheel drive. New rings, electric fuel pump, new gas tank on drivers side, newly recovered back seat, roll bar, new horn, and boots on shifters. Real nice soft top with no tears included. You can take this jeep anywhere with no worries about getting stranded or stuck. Great in the mountains, farm, ranch, or hunting lease. Am looking to get a 4 wheeler so I don,t need anymore. (01/21/09) The picture isn’t quite clear enough to be certain, but it appears the passenger step goes all the way to the body rather than turning inward near the end. Also, there’s no drain hole on the side. Either this is a fiberglass body or the metal body has been modified.

Completely Reconditioned 6 Volt Starter
A reader named Mike asked me to post this.
“I have a completely rebuilt a CJ-2A starter. It has a new bendix. The guts have all been cleaned and turned. The bushings and brushes have been cleaned. I even have the new bushing that goes in the bellhousing. Its a 6 volt starter. It came out of a 1947 CJ-2A. I put a 12 volt starter in and so do not need it anymore. I invested 150 dollars, so want to get 100 dollars for it. It’s in excellent condition.”

I’m thinking the rolling chassis on the right is a CJ-2A? I’m less sure of the jeep on the left is a VEC or a mix & match.

1946 VEC CJ-2A Wichita, Ks $1900
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1900 without the Hardtop or $2200 with it. The seller has included the serial number, in the previous AD — #36930. The engine is seized, but it includes an extra engine.
“I am reposting my CJ2A to see if by chance if there is anyone interested. It is a complete all orignall 46 CJ2A with a hard top. I will sell the 2A less the hard top as I have a buyer for the hard top, but will not let the hard top go until the 2A has a home. The brand on the hard top is Carson Car Craft (built in Oklahoma City). I have an extra engine as the engine in the 2A is locked up. The extra engine is not locked and is rebuildable. I also have all 5 orignal wheels that will also go with the 2A. I have a extra pair of front fenders as part of the deal. I had been asking $2500.00 for the 2A with the hard top, but at this point I would take $2200.00 for the 2A with the hard top or just the 2A less the hard top for $1900.00!!
