This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For Sale 1947 Willys Jeep Hot-rod. Jeeps are built not made! Show off to your friends off-roading, plus enjoy it on the street. Body: Military tub, chrome military grill, CJ-3A one pane windshield, Willys hood, Bestop California issued VIN, Kentucky title. Suspension: 2.5 lift long leaf springs. Soft ride and very good off-road. Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. 15×10″ Mag Wheels 33×12.5″ Mickey Thompson Baja-Claw tires.
Front Differential: Dana 30, Warn Hubs, 3.73 gears, Chrome-Moly axels, E-Locker differential, electric so you can turn it off and on with a switch from the driver’s seat. (front lockers do effect steering). Rear Differential: 3.73 gears, Detroit Locker, Chrome-moly Flanged axles. Roll cage: full family type. Brakes: Wilwood disc brakes front, rear and Master-cylinder. Engine: 327 bored .030″ Alu. heads, mild Hydraulic roller cam, AA Headers, Edelbrock. Transmission: BW alu. This CJ-2A has been refurbed. The passenger side drain hole is no longer visible, among some other changes. No pics of the floors.

“1947 Willys CJ-2a I bought this in 2015 with rebuilt engine, frame and tub that was sandblasted, repaired, and painted. I added some M38 elements and some items for convenience but kept true to the original. Driven frequently. 2,242 miles since engine rebuild/restoration.

The floors have diamond plate, so it is hard to tell how good (or bad) they are. Everything else seems solid. The serial number is #31000

First year for the civilian version of the Jeep.
This one is early production, but not quite “VEC”. (SN 31000)
Original running gear and 4-cyl L-head engine.
Low miles on overhaul, runs very well.
Converted to 12V electricals with alternator.
All instruments and lights are working.
Period-correct aftermarket turn signal kit installed.
Also set up for tow-behind with towbar and trailering light harness.

1947 CJ2A, with clean title
brand new aftermarket tub, with zero miles on it, frame is great and comes with the complete drive train in place. I was told when I picked it up, the guy building it was driving the jeep around the neighborhood with no body on it.
Hate to sell but I have too many projects to keep them all.
