About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a Willy’s CJ-2a for sale with an F-head engine in it out of a cj-3b The entire frame has been redone with new suspension, transmission was went through before I purchased it. The engine was rebuilt before it was put in the frame. The body needs the floor and firewall finished and braced. I do not have the steering column or windshield for it. Selling because I have too many projects at the moment and this one just isn’t getting done. I have a title for it in hand.”
“Engine is free but has not been run for a few years. Needs Master Cylinder for brakes. Shocks, brake lines have been replaced, includes new plastic gas tank with sensor. Tub needs to be repaired or replaced.”
“1947 willys military Replica jeep. Lots of time in this jeep. Has a new L134 crate block from kaiser willys, has a crate transfer case, Trans is a T90, solid running jeep, will go anywhere. At about 40-50mph, Accessory mounted in the pictures not included”
“1947 CJ2A frame off restoration Motor completely rebuilt. Original setup with 6v system. Everything is back to original No trades. Pretty firm on price”
“74 year old vehicle in great condition for it’s age has minor dings here and there but no major dents or damage to body or frame. Rust free. Needs a little TLC and can be a great winter project. Starts every time, but can be a little touchy with a one barrel carburetor. Numbers matching engine, original dash information tags included. Mostly original except basic maintenance items. Also unsure about the paint being original. Unlikely, unless the paint is very faded because research suggests the factory blue would’ve been much darker. New battery in 2019, whole fuel system replaced, fuel filter, fuel tank all done by Hubbell’s Auto Repair in Marion, IA.
Had professional welder check over undercarriage and did frame brace welding work. Factory storage bin under passenger seat was professionally refabricated and welded by same welder and he did a great job. Factory bikini top included. Originally 6V converted to 12V prior to second owner. 2 front seats, metal is original but cushion and upholstery replaced. Back seat all original. Tires and rims in good shape. Rims are to the period but probably not original.
**Please contact me with any questions. I am helping a friend sell this vehicle so it may take some time to answer your questions, please me patient and allow me time to get your question answered.**”
“Complete, runs and drives but as seen in the pics it needs some work. Top speed is about 25mph, I think transfer case is stuck in low range Includes winch, extra set of wheels, extra transmission, soft top and doors No title, bill of sale only. Can show paperwork where previous owner had it registered in GA Cash only, no trades”
A $1500 and a $1300 price both appear on the ad. No title.
“1947 Jeep willys has the original soft top frame motor and transmission are all there motor is seized great frame needs complete restoration no title and registration $1300 or best offer”
(07/14/2020) With 3-on-the-tree and 2WD it sounds like a DJ-3A. The solid back suggests it may have been a convertible model; yet the body has cutout in the rear wells consistent with having been mounted on an MB/GPW. Has the correct hand brake, but incorrect gauges. Has the correct front end, but incorrect rear end. Has the correct 2/3 1/3 seats for a convertible model. Has the incorrect windshield.
“I have a 1949 Willies Jeep. It’s a army Jeep. I am looking for someone that will appreciate what it represents. AMERICA. Lol. I did have a title but am unable to locate at this time. I have extra parts and the original rear. It is a 3 on the tree,2wd, single barrel straight 4. It does run and I have driven around my yard. I am looking for a person that knows what a special find this is. Trust me I don’t want to post this for sale, but I want someone who can restore it back to glory.”
“Frame off. Frame blasted, welds fixed and painted. Body sanded down and painted, left most of the dents in it though. All new wiring, 4 wheel disk brakes, 3.73 axle swap, VW TDI with mechanical pump mated to a t18 and d18. Both axles locked with mechanical lockers, 2.5” lift, New gas tank and gauges, soft top, heat etc. I really need a bigger rig to fit the whole family. Only thing I haven’t finished is the trans tunnel cover but most of it is there. Message me with questions. I will not be giving this away and if it doesn’t sell the that’s fine too. Would also trade for a FSJ or a Willys Wagon(prefer the Willys wagon). Or combo of trade with cash.”
“What you see is what you get. Has severe rust in the front floor pans. The rest of the jeep’s body and frame is in fair condition. Body has next to no dents, has not been in a wreck to our knowledge. Engine runs good, drive train works, 4W drive is good. Front windshield is broken. Have the framework and what’s left of the canvas for the two doors.”
