About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“I have a nearly complete Jeep taken apart some work has been started but needs finished. The 4 wheel drive engages good and solid on front. I have a clean kansas title in my name. The price is negotiable but not a whole lot. Have other more pressing projects. I also have the frame motor and tranny. Can get photos of frame if wanted. It has tires but not real good, will hold air for awhile. Frame seems to be in good solid shape.”
“complete off frame restored, all new parts used, up-dated with power steering, new top (best top), new seats- plus, new over size tires mounted on new over size chrome wheels, 35,000 lb wench, has draw bar for towing, same body type as war jeeps”
“1947 CJ2A project Willys ….CJ-5 drivetrain. * Titled as a 47 * Runs, but only if bottle fed. * plastic fuel tank. (Fuel is old) * Duantless V6 * Disc Brakes * Zero rust. NEEDS: * Currently No brakes. * Wiring to be finished. * Fuel system gone through. * And more. I do not want to sell this Willys, as it’s such an excellent platform for a good driver. I have too many projects and won’t get to this until next year. I will take a “fair offer” in person or take a partial trade for a SXS. Mule or Ranger etc.”
This is supposed to be an M-38, but the body has been extensively reworked with fiberglass. It is also a mix of parts. The chassis may be a 2A chassis.
“1952 Willys Jeep m38.
Runs good. Lots of fun. Has 2 combat rims and 2 early solid wheels. Has had lots of work done over the years. Clutch trans seals.
Brake components. Mostly used for parades.
Rear axel seal does drip gear oil. The m38 body was fiberglased to look like a cj. But is very solid. The gun is a replica 50cal converted to a squirt gun. Comes with combat trailer. This will be sold so make offer.”
WUPDATE: Still Available. I noted that this didn’t have a ’46 grille, but in fact it does. I those those were the full circle parking lights rather than the earlier self contained ones.

“This Willy’s CJ-2A was sold new on April 5th 1949 by West Motor Company, Steubenville, Ohio to the Wheeling Steel Corporation plant also in Steubenville. It was put to use by inside the plant and was outfitted by Howe with a hose reel. Its second life was with the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. They removed the reel and installed an 80-gallon water tank and was used as a brush truck. The third owner acquired it in 2005 and treated this Willys to a restoration. The tank was removed and restored to how you see it photographed, back to an inside plant, pumper Fire Truck. Lot’s of era correct parts we sourced and now this Willys is loaded from bumper to bumper with firefighting equipment. “Next Day Fire Department” is sure to be a hit anywhere it is driven or displayed.”
