These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale is a 1948 Willys Jeep CJ 2A. I have owned it for over 20 years but just don’t use it anymore. I was hoping that my daughter would want to drive it but nope. Fairly stock. Original flathead engine, transmission, transfer case and axels. Installed rancho 2.5” lift when I got it because the stock springs were opening up. Installed 11” brakes on the front. Newer radiator a few years ago. Just replaced the wheel cylinders on the front and the master and the rubber lines in the last couple months. Also installed a new distributor in the last couple months with electronic points-less system. New high torque starter. The fuel tank has some rust in it and needs to be cleaned or replaced because the fuel line plugs up. Just ordered one and will be delivered next week. Just replaced the starter and solenoid.”

Includes a Warn OD and may also have some nice Buick V6 parts (possibly the intake manifold and valve covers).

Lots of new parts to reassemble it. Photo of it together is before pulling apart to redo.has hood, grill, fenders, tailgates, with windshield etc plus extras. New fuel tank. Looks like a former club jeep with a variety of updates. Same owner for 48 years. Needs brakes bled at the very least.

“1946 Willys CJ2A ser#20775
This is an early model civilian jeep. The chassis is good, body is fair. Needs some small patch work but nothing major. The engine turns by hand, transmission shifts fine. Appears to have 2″ lift springs on it. Tires are old but all 4 hold air and have decent tread left. No title, I will provide bill of sale, or I can obtain a title for an additional fee.”

I bought this for me but my disabilities wont let me take on a project like this anymore. Runs and drives. Needs a few things before you can take it out like brakes, and the steering box rebuilt. Great frame. Good gas tank. converted to 12V . No PTO though. Tires are like new and hold air. Serial # upon request.”
