About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Cool vintage CJ2A with an F-head engine that runs good. Rebuilt body and chassis. Roll bar. Excellent high and low range 4-wheel drive. Detachable tow bar”
“1947 Willys CJ2A Flat Fender Jeep
V8 Chevy Engine conversion, Pertronix ignition, Summit electric choke carb, fenderwell headers, runs well.
35″ tires on true bead lock wheels, also has inner liner for running very low tire pressure.
Drive train is all stock.
Have a Scout 2 front axle assembly and a Chevy 4 speed truck tranny with a granny 1st gear that goes with the Jeep.
Have a 9 slot Military grille that goes with the Willys.
This is a total project vehicle that does run & drive, however the brakes do not work at all and the front tires rub on the leaf springs when turning.
I have too many projects, this is a very cool old Jeep that could be one hell of a four wheeler with some work, the granny 4 speed that goes with it will make it good for rock crawling.
$3,500 or best reasonable offer.
Would possibly trade for a good running performance big block Chevrolet, will trade up or down.”
“Im selling my 1947 willys CJ2A jeep. It ran this past summer before i parked it. Good motor good trans rebuilt the brakes have all three seats and the original rims. $6500 obo cash only”
Looks like there’s $450 worth of parts here to me. Appears to have a set of Cutlas hubs.
“This Jeep has 7k put into the internal components (transmission was new from Kaiser Willy’s back in 2008, I did each wheel/brakes) jeep wouldnt start 10 years ago and has been sitting since… engine turns over last time I checked a fairly short while ago. I think it was a bad solenoid, since the engine turned freely. I don’t have the funds right now to continue this project, so my loss is your gain.”
“I have a collection of 1946 VEC CJ2A Jeep parts for restoration or just parts. I was going to restore this but I have an aircraft restoration project that is more demanding of my time.
Parts include: Rolling chassis, (full floating rear axle), with tub, 5 mounted like new 600×16 military NDT tires, engine, transmission/transfer case, radiator, rear driveshaft, drivers seat frame, non-VEC windshield frame, tailgate, hood, front fenders and grill.
Couldn’t find an engine id number in the usual two places/pads but the cylinder head is the early smooth top design. The engine turns over with a wrench and the crank pulley nut looks correct for a VEC. Continue reading →
