Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys CJ2a that is not all original. I do not have a top or doors. 350 small block Chevy with 2 barrel Rochester carbureator, Spicer 18 transfer case, T90 3 speed manual transmission, Dana 25 front axle, Dana 41 rear axle, and both axles are open with 5.38 gear ration. Brakes were upgraded some time in the past to the 68 Wagoneer drum system. New fuel tank and sending unit under the driver’s seat.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000.
(10/05/2019) This may have a dual PTO. Has a rear winch. This might have some type of Carson Craft hardtop, but I’m just not sure.

“PICK UP ONLY!!! In onamia mn, front and rear axle, inner axle on front passenger is pulled, transfer case spins freely and shifts good, trans doesn’t shift is rusty inside but still saveable. Make an offer, want parts gone! 3 wheels are jeep wheels one is a model a wheel, will help pull axles and load them trans and t case already pulled and still mounted on cross member. Body is shot with nothing salvageable”

“Been garage kept since 1984 but was still started periodically everything runs rebuilt engine by my gpa n uncle years ago rebuilt transfer case it got 3 gears i beilive than like 3 different 4 ×4 4high 4low than extra 4low front n back pozzy track all original parts has the hubs with the two levers that pull out and spin to lock and unlock your hubs i know its at least considered to be in #4fair condition or #3 wich is little better than fair i got an updated clean title and everything serious inquires only pm me mainly need the cash but might barter for trades n cash the more i start putting into it the more its going to be worth i wish i could keep it but i am in a bind financially”

(11/26/2019) It runs, but still needs some work.
“I got this classic old flat-fender Jeep 16 months ago as a non-running project.
I’ve done a ton of work to it and now it runs.
It is still a project, but for someone else to finish.
The bottom line is I have a clear title and it runs down the road pretty good.
The stock 3 speed tranny shifts fine and the transfer case works good 2wd, 4wd hi, and 4wd lo.
The stock 4 cyl engine has 110-125 psi compression on all cylinders and runs great.
The tub has its fair share of rust holes.
The fenders, hood, and tailgate are in pretty good shape.
