Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Jeep. Willy’s – 1946 CJ2A. Completely restored. Too many new parts to list. Original 4-134L motor converted to 12V. New custom roll-bar with seat belts. Soft-top with doors. Starts, runs, drives great.”

“This is a 1948 CJ2A with a fiberglass body, it has a Three speed with overdrive and a 1967 CJ5 V6. The motor is a 225 dauntless. With the over drive and V6 you can cruise at 60 but drives a bit steadier at 50. Plenty of power. I put new tires, new coil,new shocks and bunch seals and gaskets. I had pulled the motor and transmission to replace gaskets and seals. I still have a few leaks, I have an exhaust leak and some blow by. I also put new drums and pads, replaced the master cylinder and replaced some of the older break lines. It is titled a 1948 and all the parts I ordered came correct. Haveing the overdrive allows you to stay in 2nd in town and the overdrive shifts smooth as silk. Fun to drive I am just thinking of going b ack to two wheels. The speedo cable was broke when I bought it and I replaced it. I have no,idea of the real milage”
Listed as “all original”, this CJ-2A has been militarized and has a replacement body.

“Selling my 1947 willies jeep. Flat head 4 cylinder that runs great, 3 speed manual
Transmission, gun mount like there was in word warII, new soft top, no RUST, 4WD, newer but authentic tires, tow bar if you need to flat tow it and lots of extra parts and owners manual that comes with it. This jeep is in excellent shape. There is a small tear in the passenger seat. Come check it out i would say this jeep is about 80% restored great project for an easy restoration.”

“One of those super projects I never got to. Moving out of country and getting rid of all worldly possessions. Help finance my journey to enlightenment. Complete jeep but rear half body modified. Drivetrain complete, chassis has rust and 4 cylinder engine turns free two years ago. It is a valuable resource for parts when restoring another similar jeep. Take time and part out part out making $$$. Lost interest when I realized it would be half the value when done because not stock. Make me an offer I can’t refuse. Hint: north of $500. “1947 Willys Jeep
Exterior, wheels, tires, soft top all in excellent condition.
It ran years ago and then was put into storage for many years and currently does not start.
Interior is in fair condition.
This has been stored in a shed for many years so it has been protected from the elements, which means it is in better shape than most vehicles this old.”
