Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This jeep is a product of a two year restoration. It is beautiful, I need to bleed brakes from sitting and needs to run some old gas out other than that it’s mint as you see in all the pics. Everything works on this beauty. Take it to the parades ,add it to your collection, or just drive your grandkids around when they’re. (10/19/2023) I have called the seller of this CJ-2A a friend for over a decade. His 1948 CJ-2A Lefty includes numerous extras. Also included is a unique collection of literature, some of which I’ve never seen elsewhere. The seller was instrumental in provided a great deal of unique, early civilian documents.
This collection is in Europe, so for a European collector it is likely a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get all this at cost far below what it would take to ship (if you could find the equipment) from the US.

“1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A with title and tags. The seats and canvas top with doors are in a crate, also the engine is disassembled in a crate and appears to have been machined. I am in no hurry to sell it and I’m not hurting for money. I’m giving someone else the opportunity to own this and spend the time restoring it. $6,500 or best offer. This has “dual hub extensions”, which is why the front end axle and wheels look extra wide.

“1946 Willys, Original Drivetrain. Has arctic cab hard top, also have original windshield frame. Front axle has Dual hub extensions, which were a somewhat rare option, they can be easily unbolted. Engine spins freely, I have not had it running in my time owning it. No title. I got it from an Iron Mine in Michigan. Too many projects, clearing yard,”

The body is pretty rusted. The engine compartment and engine looks in good shape. I’m not sure how much value is here.
“I’m ready to sell my 1947 cj2a now. I did a post a couple months ago to see about what it was worth, just so no one thinks it’s a scam, due to using the same pictures. Don’t know much about it. The guy that I got it from wanted to buy it back a year and a half or so ago for $2,150 but I didn’t want to sell it. I was going to use it as a bar/focal piece in my man cave. But I’m moving out of state now and just looking to sell. I’m not a mechanic so I can’t really tell you anything about it. I have the title. Located in sykesville Maryland.
