This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (10/24/2018) This appears to have some dents and dings, but looks pretty stock and solid. It’s supposed to have lockers.

Clean CA title, current registration
All 3 factory VIN plates and dash data plate in place and legible
Only 2 owners from 1946 to Feb 2018 when I purchased it
Only 4 non-original updates:
1) 12 V system with new lifetime warrenty GM alternater.
2) Roll and tow bars
3) New distributor with Pertronix breakerless kit. New cap, rotor, wires & plugs.
4) Custom left side exhaust pipe, muffler & tail pipe.
Other recent new parts: Master cylinder, front brake flex hoses, radiator hoses, water pump, differential lockers.
Spare parts in tool box: New belt, oil filter, synthetic brake fluid, points and cond., lug wrench & 2 ton bottle jack.”
I suspect this is on a 1947 CJ-2A chassis based on the 81136 serial number. There are a few more than a few stainless bodies out there.

134-hurricane 4cly. motor, has been overhauled, runs great but need breaks, 12 volt conversation done, please check photos. “I have for sale a 1946 Willys CJ2A with F-134 engine with 3 speed manual 4X4. Complete frame off restoration 8 years ago. only 500 miles on vehicle since then. runs and drives great. brand new vinyl top with doors. vehicle is in pristine shape and has won many awards though AACA. I have owned this car for 12 years and has always been garage kept. only two items that do not work properly are fuel gauge and speedometer. thanks for looking, message with any questions.”

Seller lists this as a 1945.
“This a great car. It was driven by my father and I for many years. The only reason I am getting rid of this car is due to illness and no longer able to drive standard. I’m asking $8000 or reasonable offer.”

(04/01/2018) Lots of work has been completed.
“Frame off restoration is being completed how and is almost ready for paint. Fame and rear ends were media blasted then epoxy coated as well as some minor frame repair. Almost everything from the axles up is new or rebuilt. 330 hours on rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer case. All new springs, entire body, so no rust to come to combat in the near future. All new parts to put the jeep back together. The list of parts is almost endless.
I have not painted it because someone may want a different color than what I was going to paint it. It will be in gray primer. Also the body will be removed from the frame so it is ready to paint. If I paint it and reassemble the entire thing the price will be going up. I have all receipts for the motor work, transmission part, transfer case parts and current body work that will go with the jeep.
