Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Very clean, and near original 1948 Willy CJ2 , engine was rebuilt some years back and it runs sweet & quiet, very low miles/hours. only used during deer season for the majority of its life. Parked indoors and covered. Runs great – all original engine, trans is tight, original 6 volt system with new battery, no major dents or impacts, paint is nice, suspension is good and OEM, has military tires and I have 2 spares. This is a very rare find, it is NOT modified or torn up. These are tough to find in stock condition these days, could be used as is, or an excellent restoration vehicle for full on resto. (more fun to use though). NO TRADES”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1500.

“1948 Jeep. Great condition. It runs great, the engine is original as far as we know and it sounds amazing. (See photo) The vehicle does go through batteries faster than normal but I really don’t know what normal is for this age. I have found that disconnecting the battery when parked for extended periods of time help preserve the battery. Also we have stored this Jeep with an empty and cleaned out carborator!!!! (Keep in mind this is 70 years old! So when I say it’s in great shape I mean it’s in great shape for its category)”
