About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Has at least one combat rim. The jeep itself looks well baked from the sun.
“1948 Willys Jeep for sale. This is a rolling project. Pictures are taken with wheel off but it will be rolling for the buyer at purchase. There is definitely some rust here, however, there is also an original Willys that deserves a reconditioning. Call Jerry with any questions. 575-six,four,9-four,five, 79. We need no help selling this vehicle.”

Glenn spotted this one. It’s got an interesting windshield. I *think* I’ve seen one or two others, though last time I looked, I couldn’t find them. The remainder of the jeep looks civilian and, mostly 1946 2A rather than 1951ish.
“Up for aution is a 1951 willys jeep. This jeep has a very rare windshield designed for a cannon. Body is solid. Looks to be the original L4 flat head engine. Engine has not ran in a long time and seems to be seized up, but all drive train seems ok. I do have a new radiator , hoses , and plug wires for the engine.”
(05/31/2017) Has a raised step that meets the diamond plating.

Someone needs to pull that antique car dealer’s license if he appraised this at $15,000.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep – CJ 2A
Appraised by a licensed antique car dealer at $15,000. The vehicle graded out during the appraisal as follows:
BODY – Straight – well preserved
PAINT – Hand painted – Pure classic to Jeep spirit
CHROME – Good though not a lot
TIRES/WHEELS – original wheels, summer tires – very good
GLASS/TRUNK/TOP – The top is Colorado classic! Small crack in windshield
SEATS – Reupholstered original seats
INTERIOR/PANELS/CARPET – Very good original, new gas tank
UNDERCARRIAGE – Some seal seepage but they do that. Very good throughout
ENGINE COMPARTMENT – Restored, runs great
ORIGINAL/CUSTOM – Very original throughout
TOTAL POINTS AS GRADED – 90 points
Runs, drives and stops well. Odometer reads 4,908 miles, although the total miles on the Jeep are unknown, the engine has very few miles since the rebuild. Ready for the next owner to enjoy as is or perfect for restoration project. Located in Western Colorado.”
(05-06/2017) Has a number of older mods. Probably a good jeeping jeep back in the day. It could a little love.

The sellers of this jeep are very interested in seeing it go to someone who will restore it. It’s got a rare Boston Top that’s in good condition. Contact Mark Pinel at (970) 201-7673 or MarkandLisaPinel@gmail.com if interested.
“It is partially restored (Brakes, Suspension, Seats Re-upolstered), 33,618 original miles. My Dad bought it brand new Dec. 13, 1947 and I have the original bill of sale. It starts easily and holds excellent oil pressure, never had the head off but is in need of carb re-build. I have all the original equipment including governor, PTO, all seats and original aluminum removable hard top with exception of the snow plow. I also have a wide array of spare parts including color-coded cloth wireing harness, vacuum and electric WW motors, ignition parts, complete exhaust system, etc, everything that one would need to put it into first order condition. But it needs to go to a legitimate restorer who can do it right. The engine & VIN numbers on the Bill of Sale match the Jeep and data tags.
Starts easily but the carbureator needs a rebuild as the jets are so clogged up it needs nearly full choke to run. Among the spare parts is a rebuild kit or two for the carb. The transmission shifts well as does the transfer case and the PTO case. The speedometer cable broke during the last few years my Dad had the Jeep but he only was using it around their home, it was not even registered so no meaningful miles since. I have a replacement speedometer cable. The mileage is shown on one of the photos as 33,618.
